The Lunch Box — Restaurant in Chillicothe

A good choice for a fresh, hearty meal in Downtown Chillicothe. The photo of the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich doesn't do it justice, because it doesn't show the ample amount of chicken and crumbled bacon under that delicious croissant. The Mac & Cheese was okay, but I definitely want to try other sides to compare them. Bourbon Chicken is one of the specials that change daily. Spaghetti is another special that I definitely need to come back and try.

The chairs in the dining room are those terrible, metal kind that are just one step up from a wooden bench. I will probably get my food to go on my next visit, which is fine since box lunches are their specialty.

Tried this place for the 1st time today. I had hot dog/sauce and cup of chili. Hubby had Italian panini and chili. Tried the chili bc they said that was the only soup that was made in-house. It was very good. However, they dished it up before the other food was ready so it wasn’t hot when we got our sandwiches. Since chili is ready made my suggestion is to leave that to serve up last. It had great flavor but was Luke warm at best. I also asked about the sides and none of those were made in-house so didn’t try them. Other than chili temp everything else...

Great food. Small, quaint indoor dining area. Also offers carry out and delivery. Pretzel sandwiches are great and the tortilla soup is the best. Lunch service only, after all it is called the lunch box. I grew up with the owners of this establishment. Great people, good hearted folks who treat their customers like family. If you have not tried it, you should. I do recommend the tortilla soup. Best I have had in this town. Love the speed and...
