We are regulars on the island and normally dont have any issues. Well this week that all changed. We are here for Pony Penning (mind you this is our like 8th time coming to the island this year) and the way the staff has acted this week has been DISGUSTING!! Two days ago, my sweet dad went to get us breakfast and the staff was extremely rude to him and forgot our hash browns. Well we just let it slide no biggie. My dad then decided to go there this morning to get a quick bite and he was told for a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with a hash brown and orange juice would be $10.51. This seemed like a high price to my dad, so when he got to the window he asked very nicely to confirm the order was correct. The lady at the window yelled at him “IT IS CORRECT” and refused to repeat the order. He went ahead and paid and got our order and brought it back to us. Not only did they forget our hash brown AGAIN but there was no bacon on the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. My dad called to complain and spoke to the manager Asia and she told him the issue was the fact that we were on the island and hung up on him. Read moreI recently visited the McDonald's location on Chincoteague Island and, unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While I understand that fast-food establishments can get busy, the level of customer service and communication at this particular branch was below par. Absolutely miserable and negative staff who are extremely disrespectful.
Communication was a significant issue during my visit. Not only were the employees not attentive to customer needs, but some were outright dismissive and unfriendly. It's crucial for a service-oriented business like McDonald's to prioritize effective communication with their customers.
In addition to the poor communication, the overall attitude of the workers was disappointing. A friendly and courteous demeanor goes a long way in making customers feel valued, but unfortunately, this was lacking during my visit.

These girls though....They were rude,incompetent on service skills in all meanings,slow (speed wise) and have no passion for themselves or their job. Even if i hate my job i give it my all because if my name is on it it needs to be decent ....treat others how you want to be treated and the food quality needs to be eddible as if you yourselves will eat it. Will never go here again! Weve been coming to the island and that establishment for 25 years at least and boy it has never been this bad. It used to be 5 stars now its the worst place ever on the island. The staff make it worse. A "sorry for your wait" "please" and "thank you" go a loooong way when youre the problem. I see it closing and definitely will never make it during pony penning week.
