Ever think to yourself about finding a restaurant with an experience, a vibe, fun, and great food?
INSSA is the place to be! You will be seated at a table with water and an encyclopedia about all the different dishes they serve, which is broken down into every single bit and piece of what is in the food and drinks they serve. So you won't have to worry about feeling like you are not aware of what you are eating, bit and piece, bit and piece. The encyclopedia The encyclopedia, lol. Everything that is served there is made with so much love and deliciousness; it will have you wanting for more because I sure as h3ll that served did. My landfill, I sure as h3ll did. Because h3ll I wanted to raid the kitchen for some more of that bulgogi pasta.
Their drink menu might be simple and small, but hey, at least for my indecisive girlies, you won't have to rack your brain about deciding what drinks you want to have that day.
If you are a steamed egg girlie like I am, then they will serve you the most delicious smelling and tasting giant hot stone pot of it and will have you drooling over it before you can start drowning yourself in it.
Don't even get me started on their pasta and chicken wings. The bulgogi pasta may look like a regular Joe plate, but it is beyond delicious because, let me tell you, my friend and I were having an internal fight over who would have the last few bits. The dang chicken was so damn good I could not stop eating it. It was the juiciest chicken I have ever had at a restaurant. I am very picky with my meats because I am always scared about ordering dishes with meats that are being overcooked. Overcooked meat is not the best-tasting type of meat. But INSSA's chicken wings were juicy and soft that sh*t fell off the bone.
If you need a good place to go and a place to be because life is hard, and you need an excuse to drink and have a good meal on a random weekday, INSSA is the place to be. Because INSSA is the place to be and the...
Read moreI came here with friends to celebrate a friend's birthday and ordered two dishes. It took 30-40 mins for the food to come out. It was a pretty small amount for the total price ($47) and was also okay, but not the point nor the main reason for the low review.
During this time, no one checked in with us or our order, and no one refilled our water when it went out. We were unsatisfied with our overall experience in both food and service, so we left a small tip. This is the first time my friends and I have left a small tip like this.
After we paid and walked back into our car, before we drove off the owner approached us. We were already sat in our car when he signalled that he wanted to talk to us. We rolled down the windows and he asked if we found anything unsatisfactory. We said the food took a really long time and he said something along the lines of "oh that's why the tip is like that," then brushed us off.
I understand asking a customer who tipped low to understand why and how to improve service, but we all felt that he came at us in a condescending and passive aggressive manner. My friends and I have never had this happen to us, and we are immensely disappointed. I typically don't write reviews and this is the first negative review I've ever written for...
Read moreFirst, I want to say that the service here was amazing: the whole staff is extremely kind! I definitely recommend coming as a party of 3-5 people so you can get multiple dishes to share because everything that we got was amazing.
Bulgogi Tacos (3 pcs) - I didn't eat this one because I don't eat beef typically but my friends said the flavor was well balanced! 8/10
Spicy Rosé Shrimp Pasta - The flavor of the pasta was yummy but I wish it had a slightly stronger rosé flavor and was a bit creamier 7/10
Mozzarella Cheese Spicy Rice Cake Tteokbokki - This is actually one of the best tteokbokki's that I have tried in the US. There was a nice balance of rice cakes and fish cakes. The cheese went well with the sauce and wasn't overpowering 10/10
Stir-fried Chicken Gizzard - Chicken gizzard isn't for everyone, but I absolutely loved this one. The fry was crunchy and the gizzard was cooked well 8/10
Spicy Seafood Jjamppong Stew (added Udon Noodles) - This was definitely the most spicy out of all the dishes we has, but there was a good amount of seafood—specifically clams—and I really enjoyed...
