service animal discrimination
It is a place near my house to enjoy the food, I go sometimes, but today Saturday January 11, 2025 I went with my family. At first we notified the reception that they had a service dog, they asked us for a few minutes, then after a few minutes another waitress arrived and asked us again if the dog was a service dog, after 5 minutes they passed us to a table and we ordered, as soon as the food arrived, the waitress, a white-skinned woman with black glasses and a little chubby, arrived and asked us if she would give us a box to take the food, it seemed strange to us because she hadn't even a minute since they had just served us the food, we let it pass because it was the first time after 10 minutes the same waitress came back and asked the same thing that she gave us a box to take the food we said no and continued eating we were three people and the service dog remained under the table, After 5 minutes the same waitress came back and did not give us the payment receipt and asked us again if she would give us the box to take our food away and we said no because we had not finished yet, not all of us have the same eating rhythm. My mother, an elderly lady, accompanied us. So I asked the manager what she needed to talk to him and I explained to her that it was very uncomfortable that the same person was obsessed with giving us a box to take our food away. On previous occasions I have gone and no one ever asks me when I want to take my food away. I have been a customer at the same place for a long time and that type of discrimination has never happened to me. I observed the other customers and they were not bothered like me. I mentioned it to the manager named Erick and at no time during the conversation did he apologize, he only said that he would speak to the waitresses, something that I don't know if would happen. What I do say is that if they do not want service animals it is important that they make it known and there is no problem, we avoid misunderstandings, I believe that people with disabilities have the right to be informed of any change in business policies because this can have legal consequences if we continue to act in...

Read moreFinally came back after a year of pandemic restrictions, i like IHOP for it's food and also great customer service. But this time as we came inside, no one was there to great us, then a total of 3 employees walk by in front of us, no one even said a "Hello" or "Welcome" they just ignored us for at least 2 min. Sounds crazy, but if you think about it, that's a long time, having the costumer standing there where they can see you walking by but the employees just choose not to acknowledged your presence. My husband and I kept looking at each other in confusion, we were about to decide to leave when the hosstes came (total different person from the first 3 that ignored us at the beginning) We get it, you are bussy, but part of customer service is making the customer feel welcomed, and at the least you can do is acknowledged their presence and a quick "Hello, someone will be right with you in a moment" won't hurt you or take much of your time, in another note, i was sad not to see my favorite dish on the menu, eggs benedict, so i decided to order a breakfast burrito and I liked it, it was delicious, our waitress was diligent and attentive. We...
