NEW REVIEW 12/3/2023 - Remains at 5 stars.
My wife and I love to go out and eat at different restaurants. This has become an expensive tradition now that everything costs so much. We are currently visiting restaurants that have great food, good service and probably most important of all a good price. That is the criteria trifecta that we now go by. La Sinaloense has been good to use for a few years but now has become one of the few that we know so far that meet our criteria of a good restaurant. Service is excellent. The ladies that take care of us are so friendly and eager to help you that you can feel it. Sometimes the owner is our server, and you get to talk to her for a little bit. How nice is that. Food is plentiful, well-seasoned and overall delicious. My mom and I visited for breakfast today and told me that the food was great. I agree 100%. Prices are much better than other places. We get so much food and great service for a price that could be 50% to 100% more at other places. We appreciate La Sinaloense has kept prices as low as possible allowing us to visit more often.
NEW REVIEW: Early today my wife and I decided to go get some food for breakfast and decided to visit La Sinaloense once again. Currently, you can dine-in or order to go. For us we decided to order to go by placing an order at the outside entrance of the restaurant. I had the steak and eggs and my wife had huevos rancheros plus a couple of coffees. After waiting outside the restaurant our server was nice to deliver our food directly to our vehicle. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We will be back. This restaurant moves up from 3...
Read moreWe were a little skeptical when we saw the menu and that breakfast was misspelled in Spanish (desalluno, not desayuno). We were all craving fish tacos, so my brother got two, I ordered one and my mother got one and a marlin taco. I ate mine and it tasted pretty good. I wanted to ordered more but our waitress wasn't coming, so my mother gave her's to me. She got some of the tomatoes off the taco and onto her marlin taco. (That one was a whole different problem, just fish and no garnish or veggies.)
Just as I finished the first taco I had said it was good it tasted almost like shrimp. I started to eat the other one and mentioned it again because the fish fillet was segmented like shrimp and was even pink and tasted like shrimp. This freaked out my mother who is anaphylactic allergic to shrimp, so she asked another waitress and was told that fish and shrimp share fryers. We didn't think much of it because I ate her "fish taco". My mother's throat was starting to itch, but we attributed this to me sipping out her $4 soda.
Well, check comes out and it says 3 fish tacos, 1 marlin and 1 shrimp. The waitress swore up and down my mother ordered a shrimp taco. Which is a lie, because my mother has not eaten shrimp in the last 30+ years. My mother was freaking out because we had no epi pen, and she had eaten the tomatoes off the shrimp. The lady offered no concern and said that my mother's allergies had been cured because she ate off the taco and was fine. Absolutely unprofessional. My mother could have gone into anaphylactic...
Read moreHad to try the restaurant since it had a 4.6, and in reality I'd give it a 4.5, if I could half star, but there was a few issues;
The food was great, very authentic and tender, flavorful, very similar to food down in Mexico and it didn't give off Cheap "Mexican restaurant" vibes.
My server; Adair (which I'm assuming was his name since that's what my receipt said), was amazing, interactive and knowledgeable, making the experience worth it.
My only issue was the Menu, genuinely. If you see the pictures, some items don't have prices (half the beverage menu doesn't have prices), the whole appetizer section did not have prices either, certain portions of the menu have decently detailed explanation on what the contents of the dish are, while others do not whatsoever. Same with calorie count (which doesn't bother me, but bothers some). The main issue with this is the fact that I had to ask the Waiter several times how much __ was, and although he said the correct price, there could a confusion for another costumer and it would be an issue between them and the waiter/ waitress. All could have been avoided by simply adding the correct prices on the menu to begin with. (Additionaly the QR scanable menu on the table was scratched up/ illegible, yet another menu issue)
I'd just like a menu that I can read and be like, oh this contains this, and it is this price.
Aside from that, excellent service from staff, very quick and attentive.
Bathroom was cleaned spotless, peaking into the kitchen looked very...
