Tasty Mandarin — Restaurant in Chula Vista

Small place, apt for couples or party of 4 max. Take out seems to be popular, but we wanted to dine in. Great customer service. Our order was taken right away; drinks were brought out fast; we never had to ask for refills or for used dinnerware to be removed. The servers were on it. I'm giving 3 stars because the noodles on the upside down, stir fry noodles, were completely uncooked. In my opinion, they should have been thrown on the wok with stir fry sauce to at least soak the noodles. We put all the sauce (not much to soak all noodles) and flip noodles to the bottom to soften them, but it wasn't enough. The stir fry with meats and shrimp was tasty. Wonton soup had a good flavor, but it needed more veggies. Potstickers were also good but not OMG tasty. Overall, we had a pleasant time and good service, but the food was just ok. This place is delicious and worth every penny. It was late at night, my wife and four kids were hungry, we were staying at a campground not too far away, looked up Chinese Food and this popped up. From the outside we were a little sketched out at first. No customers were parked out front and the line from Yoshinoya made it difficult to get to, we were close to following the crowd there, but were so hungry waiting in that line would not have helped. Once we got our food we realized we made the correct decision. This place is AMAZING and FRESH and DELICIOUS. Staff was super helpful in helping us decide what some of their best dishes are and what appealed most to our kids. EVERYTHING was cooked PERFECTLY and even our young kids ate up their plates. Tonight I we had our favorite, “skinny noodles” with chicken. Delicious, tasty 😋 and never disappoints. Normally, to go along with the noodle dish is side of fried rice and Mongolian beef. Also a favorite. Wanted to try something different, so we ordered pepper chicken in lieu of Mongolian beef. Although not a huge fan of bell peppers, pepper chicken was on point. I forgot the bell peppers were even there. My family and friends have tried the restaurant and are now hooked. They too agree , Tasty Mandarin is tasty!
