This Walmart is the closest location to me but it's one of my least favorites. The parking is terrible, the employees are rude and the store itself does not carry fresh fruits, vegetables, meats of any kind, fresh baked goods and grocery items are scarce. Meaning, you will find a much larger selection of all grocery items at other Walmart's and depending on what time you shop, if it's later in the day/evening/night, you may find items being sold out as this store is very limited as to what they carry. It's ok if you just need a few basic items but again, I've seen where they are sold out of milk, specific cereals, peanut butter, pop cycles, rice, specific brands of soda, chips and cigarettes, the list goes on. Try askimg an employee a question, that is if you can find one. They will go out of their way to avoid you because they don't want to be bothered. If, when checking out you decide against purchasing an item or items (which is your right as a consumer), you hand it to the cashier and tell them you decided against purchasing this item(s), you will get a completely dirty look and the cashier will call over another team member and explain in either Spanish or Tagalog that you don't want this/these item(s) and they'll both talk not so nice about you assuming you don't understand what their saying which is a Big Mistake on their part because I understand both languages. I may not speak them very well but I can certainly understand and get the gist of the negative, rude comments they're making about me. And the whole thing boils down to expecting the employees to do their jobs, and the employees having complete attitudes. I'm not anti Walmart whatsoever, in fact I really like shopping at Walmart but I will go out of my way and drive further away to get the fresh produce and vegetables, the meats and freshly baked goods and the multiple choices not to mention the kind and considerate Team Members who will go out of their way to assist you with a Smile on...
Read moreMe and my family’s Costco experience was awful. Firstly, the store was awfully packed, the aisles crowded in tens of people. Nor was it stocked very well. The main trigger to this ABSURD shopping trip, was the cashier Chris. Awful person, scanned too slowly on purpose, extremely rude, unprofessional, and snarky. He refused to sell us alcoholic beverage’s when we clearly had our ID’s and we looked well over 21. He called over his supervisor who had no idea what he was doing, he shouldn’t have the position of a supervisor with his cluelessness behavior. Chris was very unprofessional, and clearly thinks highly of his role, very extra and doesn’t know how to problem solve. He would also pause scanning just to be nosy on what the other cashiers were doing, when they clearly know how to do their jobs better than he does. Very frustrating, Costco do better and fire this employee. Very unprofessional, and not a good look on your...

It's not so much about what's happening just at the Costco but there's also other small shopping to do.
You can go to Chase Bank or Mission Federal Credit and get cash. Then eat lunch at Carl's Jr.,bWaba Grill, Subway or Panda Express. Don't forget dessert a Baskin-Robbins. To walk off those calories finish shopping at Costco or Walmart. Then complete your errands with a full tank of gas at the Costco gas station. Whew! What a day.
MEH Ample parking, but something about the traffic flow seems to make it complicated. Perhaps it's the stop signs in the middle of the shopping center that should not be there or the flow from the traffic on Palomar Street. I really don't know, but it's peculiar.
BTW, although all Costcos are crowded, this...
