It took quite a while before someone acknowledged me and it wasn't clear where to go to order when I walked in. But once I got someone's attention they were polite and eager to please. The set up is like corporate burritos but this is a locally owned and operated establishment. I'll post pictures of the menu.
The food was excellent. I got a soft taco, chips and guac. The topping options included: chopped jalapenos, chopped cilantro, cucumber, radishes, and fantastic guac just to name a few. I didn't try the queso but it looked great. The chips were premade and bagged, not warm but crispy. The guac tasted like what I make at home!
My friends both got quesadillas and said they were delicious. Both had leftovers because the portions were large. The beans and rice were typical and bland so if you prefer spice I would recommend getting some of the toppings to add flavor.
This location used to be a bakery and I have fond memories of that. They did a good job changing it over. The atmosphere is rather plain but functional and, hey, we went there for the food, not the environment. It's a convenient location with parking and kid friendly. The restrooms are single person and haven't changed since the previous owners.
I will definitely go back. There's a lot more on the menu I would like to try. Everything I tasted today was...
Read moreNot everyone that lives here is from Cincinnati. I was raised in Texas until I was 22 so I don’t even eat Mexican food up here. I was in the food industry for 30 years so I know it’s hard to find workers that give a care about the food or customers. My son was like you gotta try this place, it’s legit. I was like I don’t want to risk it and he said no you’re going to love it. The first time I got birria tacos and a bowl. I haven’t had Mexican food like that up here ever. The ingredients were good quality, fresh, the cheese was melty and stringy. It was piping hot even after they did a pick up order. They went back today and it’s awful. I only got Birria tacos because they were so good last time I didn’t want nothing else. You can see in the pictures where it looks like they had been sitting there and heated up in the microwave. The cheese was hard and stuck to the shell. The cilantro is mush, the onions are soft from sitting there. The meat tastes old, the sauce is separated and cold. They didn’t stir it before they scooped it. The shell is crusty and like rubber. It literally made my stomach feel sick after the first one. I’m feeding the rest to my dogs. I was craving these tacos all day, I’ll just go back to eating Mexican food in Texas you can’t trust these foos up here. They must be wearing...
Read moreThe service was amazing, I went a little after lunchtime so there were three people ahead of me when I arrived. It was fairly quick before they were able to take my order, and the employees were extremely accommodating. I asked about some ingredients and they even allowed me to try a couple before I went with them. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, along with two tacos. The quesadilla toppings are pretty much set in stone, with bell peppers onions cheese and a side of sour cream along with your choice of meat. However, the tacos are a little different. You are given the option to add whichever toppings you would choose in a chipotle-esque style. You walked down the line with the server and you tell them which ingredients you would like on your taco. My two tacos and quesadilla came to around $16, which isn’t bad considering the food was amazing. The restaurant was pretty clean considering they had just finished with the lunch rush and the employees were warm and kind. Parking was perfect and I will definitely be visiting again. I hope my review helps somebody who is looking to try somewhere new during lunch, I...
