Pandora 2 Diner: Where Tasty Meals and Perfect Sandwiches are Served
It's always a great feeling to stumble upon a diner that exceeds your expectations. And that's what you'll feel once you step inside Pandora 2 Diner. It is located just before NewAlbany Road. I imagine this diner is quickly gaining popularity among foodies and families in the area.
One meal that stood out during my latest daytime (this time) visit was the Turkey Club Sandwich. It was simply made to perfection! The bread was toasted just right, the turkey was juicy and tender, and the bacon added that smoky flavor that we all crave. The lettuce and tomato added that fresh crunch, making it a great sandwich to have for lunch or dinner.
And let's not forget about the fries. They were so good and crispy, it was hard not to devour them in seconds. The perfect1 balance of seasoning made them a great side dish to any meal.
Presentation is key, and that's something Pandora 2 Diner does exceptionally well. Their BLT sandwich was not only delicious, but it was also presented nicely on a white round plate, making it look like something out of a food magazine. It was almost too pretty to eat, but I managed to dig in, and it was heavenly. I took lots of pictures from different angles. 😃
The diner itself was clean and inviting. You could tell the staff took pride in keeping the place spick and span. And the cherry on top was the impressive pastry display, full of cakes and pies that looked too good to be true. It was hard to resist not grabbing a slice of each cake, but I settled for the old fashion cookies with sprinkles.
For those who are health-conscious, Pandora 2 Diner also offers a delicious lentil soup that will warm your soul. It had a nice blend of flavor, and it was evident that it was made with care and dedication.
I tried to save something a portion of the meal, but it was just too good.
Kara was my waiter. She moved swiftly, smiled, and was friendly and genuine. Also, she checked with me and asked how everything was. I watched her Multitask at servicing lots of tables , providing the same level of superb service to each table.
On my departure, the man at the register was awesome. That's how I ended up buying the cookies. He was professional, down- to-earth, and treated every customer waited on before me like gold/ someone famous. He had a very contagious personality. I forgot his name (my apologies). He was the owner's son.
I recommend this place to everyone! Great portions. I also discovered there's a breakfast special that beats most fast food chains around, it's in one...
Read moreWe were there about 30 minutes ago and it ended up being the worst experience!
We went last night and ordered takeout and thought the food was very good and we're pleased with the amount of food we got for the price. We decided since we liked it so much let's go back before we go back on the road. I wish we never went back...
We sat down and were enjoying our drinks and meal. We were about halfway through the meal and my father found a SCREW in his omelet! It was a 1-inch self-drilling hex-head sheet metal fastener. It was rusted and the screw was caked with burnt-on grill grease. It was looking like a dirty cast iron grill pan. There was also hair or like a dust ball or something around the screw/in the omelet too. My father almost puked! The waitress came over immediately after it happened and went to the manager. We are so bummed we didn't get a picture of it. The plate was removed very quickly. The manager never came up to us to talk with us and just sent the waitress back over to us to tell us that our meal was covered. Then she walked away to take care of the rest of her tables and we just saw them talking about us and they told us they don't know how it happened but they were trying to figure it out. But instead of the manager trying to talk to us and mend the situation they just sat there talking at a booth. As we were walking away one of the ladies at the booth didn't even come near us. They just stayed at the booth and talked to us from afar. She told us sorry and offered us dessert. I responded no because after this experience we are completely disgusted and turned off by this place now.
I wasn't even halfway through my meal and I couldn't even finish it. I stopped eating immediately because my stomach turned instantly and I was starting to feel nauseous. We left and will never be back to this place again.
I think they need a health inspector to go through...
Read moreIt's been a while since my wife and I visited this location. Our last trip was under a different diner name and an experience I won't get into. We visited today, a Saturday night. The place was busy based on all the vehicles in the parking lot. Fortunately, we were greeted at the door and sat immediately. The diner looked in great shape and very clean. The desserts you pass on the way in are definately going to grab your attention. So many choices and well presented on display. Our server arrived at our table is timely fashion. She was amazing the entire time. She was able to answer our few questions without hesitation. The menu options are a plenty. If you cannot find something you want to eat off this menu, you simply aren't hungry. They have almost everything. Soups win me over when they taste good. The classic, chicken noodle, had terrific flavor. Soup or salad plus dessert was included in our meal choices. Our entrees were made with fresh ingredients and the portion sizes were great. They do make mini meals on toward the back of the menu which are smaller versions of many entree options. You could always go that route if you plan on eating a smaller portion. We both went with the "cake of the day" for our dessert. Sure, you might be unsure on why a diner is offering a slice of cake to be included with your meal. But have no fear, this vanilla raspberry cake was just what we needed to top off the meal. So fresh and so much flavor. We will definately be visiting more often. I have enough menu options to never eat the same thing twice for...
