Was looking for Caribbean food near me in Delran, NJ and found Chez Rodin in Google search!! The establishment was clean, very quick preparing our order & staff was really hospitable. We didn’t know much about a lot of the entrees but the staff explained everything with no hesitations. I love the cross of Haitian & Jamaican seasoning used. We have never had Haitian food before, and this will not be the LAST. I can say we definitely found a new frequent stop-spot. Our order consisted of: oxtails, rice/peas, cabbage, and sweet plantains. We received more than adequate portions of everything and plenty of gravy on the food-nothing was dry! I even saw Black rice on the menu - had never tasted/heard of it before and the owner was very nice & included a small sample in my our order surprisingly. Thank you, it to was very flavorful & will be in my rotation. In closing, during my search I was reading the posted reviews as we tried to decide should we go. I saw a few people using such descriptive words as: tasteless, bland, dry, overpriced etc. My reply/thoughts to all: “Maybe they were positive for COVID-lost of taste” because THISSSS was absolutely DEEEEELICIOUS!!! 🤤😋 Keep in mind, these are pandemic days we all are living in. Small businesses as such, have to adjust prices to stay a float in these times more so than others. Just the same as gas prices rising, so is food prices..Continue to support our small businesses. Everything can’t always be as perfect as we would like. Just FOOD FOR THOUGHT 🤔 Chez Rodin…You have won our support - our vote…See ya...
Read moreI really want to see this Haitian restaurant succeed but in order to do that I have to be honest….every time I get the macaroni it’s horrible (I have been getting the macaroni since the restaurant opened up until yesterday hoping it will get better it hasn’t ). Like yesterday they added a new Mac but it was kinda dry. The macaroni almost always looks bad like it was leftover from the previous nights (but ik you guys wouldn’t do your customers like that). Also I bit into a small piece of a whole garlic when I had the macaroni yesterday. The legume doesn’t even look like legume. Why was the legume I order dark in color and it tasted old as if you warmed it up…. Even the meat within the legume tasted really weird. The Bouyon is bad…no taste and there wasn’t any meat in it what’s up with that? I’m not sure if you guys changed the recipe for the pork but it has little taste and I know my Haitian people know girot is supposed to be a bit spicy or at least have some spice. Finally the chicken and sometimes the rice has no taste. I hope you guys fix whatever is going on because I really do want you guys to succeed being as though your the only Haitian restaurant around but I can’t say that my multiple experiences here since December has been good. But until then you have lost a...

Update to my above review -
Taking away 3 stars. Today is the 3rd time my order was confirmed by Chez Rodine…. Then canceled afterwards. Other restaurants have the decency to call the Customer if something on the menu is not available or if they can’t fulfill the options/order. They don’t do that. They will either give me something else, or as I assume what happened today, cancel the entire order. In the event it was due to timing… I’m sorry but I think 40mins before closing isn’t bad, especially since I’m less than 5mins away (literally). If you don’t want to receive orders within the last 60 minutes of being open, then update the third party vendors as well. It’s not that hard to do and other restaurants already do it to prep...
