Horrible service. People need to be held accountable for their actions. I came in for 2 foot longs and a drink because I had a coupon that said buy ANY sub and get ANY sub free with purchase of soda. Although there is a picture of only 6 inches on the receipt there is no where in the fine print that says that foot longs are excluded. I’m not mad about the coupon I’m mad about how the lady handled the situation. I came in the night before and had no issue with using the same coupon, in fact the girl that helped me was super sweet and I found out that the manager makes this poor girl close by herself. ALONE. This area isn’t that great and it’s a complete liability to have only one employee working a closing shift alone. Anyways the lady that I encountered today was completely rude she was already in the process of making her own sandwich which she didn’t stop making when I came in and was not very welcoming at all, and so I make my order and once the oven goes off because I asked my sub to be toasted the lady just ignores the fact the oven is going off and my sandwich is burning in there the longer she waits, after she finally stops what she’s doing to get my sub out of the oven the phone goes off and then she’s on the phone for a minute or two leaving me there waiting for her to finish my order which by the way was easy as pie. Once I get to the check out I tell her I would like a medium drink and I would like to use the coupon I stated earlier and as rude as can be she looks at the receipt then glares at me and says I can’t use this, you can’t use this on a foot long. Then I tell her well it says ANY sandwich and she says that the picture shows a six inch so it only applies to that. I tell her I had no problem the night before and she says Oh this location?!? I say YES and she goes on to say oh well I have to check the schedule then to see who was working because there’s nothing I can do about this. If there was nothing you can do then why would I have had no problem last night? I worked for subway long enough to know that you have the option in the p.o.s to apply this specific coupon. And I told this lady you know what I’m good I don’t need this. And as I was walking out the door she yells to me “that’s okay it’s just more for me now” so not only is this worker not paying for those sandwiches I was going to buy but I wasted my lunch break just to come back to work with no food. I am disappointed. I was hungry and now I’m upset with the way I was treated trying to buy myself food. This is not okay and franchises need to be held more accountable for their behavior. This...
Read moreSubway's been around for a long time now. In the beginning, I bought their sandwiches often, and enjoyed them. Over the years, they've gone downhill. I stopped eating at Subway, there were much better choices elsewhere.
Because of a coupon I received in the mail, I decided to give Subway another shot to see if it's any better.
I went to this location on greenback Lane, in Citrus Heights. I had my coupon in hand, told the lady. I had the coupon as I was getting ready to start telling her my order when she cut me short to tell me they don't take coupons. They don't take Subway coupons. not even their own . I examined the coupon carefully, reading the small print and looking for any specific locations. There was nothing like that. With no locations included or excluded, I went to the closest location which was this one.
The first thing the lady said to me, sorry, we don't take coupons here. Frustrating.
I didn't know where to go. I wasn't going to drive all around town going from subway to subway to to find a location that accepted their own coupon.
The lady was very unhelpful at this location. She wasn't going to tell me where I might try or how I could find out where the coupon was good or even to wait to see if I had any questions or anything else to say she went right back into the back of the restaurant.
I was very disappointed. I was hungry and that was going to be my dinner. Instead of spending $3.99 for a 6-in sub as the coupon stated, I walked out of that store and went across the street to Safeway and had their deli make me a fresh sandwich for $8.99 with no coupon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt happier to spend $6 more at Safeway, and receive my sandwich exactly like I wanted and friendly service too. Better than anything at that subway then or ever cuz I won't be going back. It wasn't really the amount of money, More her rude curt response and deceptive murky advertising.
Moral of the story: if you're going to eat at Subway, don't eat it this location. This Subway's owner would rather send away a new customer and provide poor customer service and send them to another deli rather than honor a legitimate coupon and have a new customer that would continue coming back. Every time I drive by that location the parking lot is usually empty. I no longer have...
Read moreI come here pretty often since I've lived around the corner several years, and in all of that time I have only ever had VERY minor issues. Like: They cut the one sandwich in half out of multiple that didn't want to be cut. Not a big deal. And a gal who was brand new who added oil/vinegar to both sandwiches when only one wanted it along with the salt and pepper on both. Easy mistake! The one other time it made a difference (i.e; misheard and put the wrong sauce that I really don't like), they happily tossed it and remade it right away. That's it! Imagine going to the same fast food for 4 years regularly and only experiencing 3 minor problems the whole time. That's impressive to me. The owner is a charming woman with a beautiful voice who is very outgoing and friendly, she always is quick to reassure about how strictly she manages quality anytime anyone asks. The place is almost always spotless, the one time I noticed any dishevelment was during a long rush where they were clearly reorganizing the lobby and couldn't finish right away. The staff have always been very nice, they manage big lines and rushes pretty well with some speedy sandwich making that doesn't skimp out like some other subways. I've never seen any questionable produce or cheeses, not even once, and their bread is always soft. My ONLY other possible complaint is that maybe half of the time one of the cookie types will be sold out - Usually the seasonal ones. The food is classic subway fare, if you like the sandwiches (I love them) then you'll enjoy...
