What others are saying is true...this place is amazing! Some quick notes: Wine bar bought out by a Korean couple with Korean and French culinary experience. So it is now a Korean/French fusion restaurant with free wine with purchase. Wine pairings made by sommeliers Delicious food Very reasonable prices Peaceful, relaxed atmosphere with dimmed lighting, jazz music played over speakers, traditional tables/chairs and bar seating available. Small place Great place to take a date No fancy dress code (but my husband and I dressed nice for date night)

We walked in around 8:15pm on a Friday night and were the only customers in the place. We realized very quickly that the place was only dead because it is truly a hidden gem. The food was amazing, and our waiter/sommelier, Corey, was phenomenal. My husband and I are fairly new to wine and trying Korean food, but Corey was very patient with us, and knowledgeable in both wine and Korean cuisine. He has worked at the place since it was still just a wine bar, he has over 10 years of experience studying wine, AND he also lived in Korea for 2 years. He made us feel informed and helped us make the best food/wine selections for our tastes. We were given regular menus upon being seated, but then Corey brought over a tablet with a picture menu on it, featuring the daily specials. The pictures of the food really helped us solidify our choices. We ordered bulgogi beef on lettuce wraps and mandoo (potstickers/dumplings) to start. The mandoo was great, but the bulgogi was excellent - sweet, savory, and tangy. (Picture of bulgogi and mandoo attached.) Next, we ordered a ramen bowl with a fish oil sauce, which had a really nice texture and flavor to it. We also got a spicy pork bowl, which in my opinion, was the star entree. It had spicy pork, white rice, zucchini slices, fried kimchi, and seaweed crumbles on top. It had a very spicy "kick" to it, and the ingredients complimented each other really well. My husband and I ordered an extra side of white rice to go with it, since we were sharing everything. Finally for dessert, we got the hottok, which is a warm and chewy cinnamon-sunflower-seed-filled pancake with vanilla ice cream and thyme on top. Corey paired it with sweet honey-dessert wines, which tasted like a dream. The perfect way to end the meal. Oh, and we were also given free leather keychains with the restaurant logo on them for their soft opening. That was a nice and unexpected touch to reel us in more. Thank you Migak! My husband and I will be raving about this place to everyone we know. We have found our new...

What a gem of a restaurant! Never knew wine & Korean food went so well. Well, it does if it is curated & cooked very well like Eunbi & Sup has! Very tasty, mostly authentic yet has some very slight adaptations that make all the foods pair so well with WINE. This place offers 2 free glasses of wine per food item ordered that is $10+ until they get their liquor license. Jasmine the sommelier at the bar is very knowledgeable about all wines since she worked at this place when it was just a wine bar before being owned by current owners to incorporate Korean food into the menu. She has great energy and personality that makes every glass of wine so great! Very great recommendations. Had the spicy pork bowl, Yook-jeon, Korea curry, a skewer, and original spicy tteokbokki. (*edit: came back 2 days later to order more- the jjajang truffle tteokbokki, sausage kimbab, tornado egg fried rice, and meat & cheese board!) All amazing, I can vouch for the authenticity & quality food as a Korean foodie from Seoul. Amazing atmosphere and interior. I saw quite a few regulars of the bar too. Just wait until the advertising starts- this place...

As a Korean visitor from San Francisco , I had to try Migak since it had both wine and tasty looking Korean food I would come again and recommend this place to everyone who wants to try Korean food.

I ordered the Korean Spicy Chicken thigh skewers , Bone Marrow, Tomato sauce ramen & Tokbokki and all I can say is that it was sooo good. The meat was super tender and just melted in my mouth. The spicy sauce being marinated with the chicken just made everything even better. All the food was presented beautifully. There was an elegant, elevated feel to the Korean food I know very well (I’m Korean and have grown up eating it) but it maintained that cozy personal feel while eating it. The food, especially the Tokbokki filled me with such comfort and warmth. The food was rich and oh so satisfying. The service was friendly and very attentive.

Overall I think it was a worthwhile experience and highly recommend Migak to anyone interested- Korean expert or newcomer!

I can’t wait to try Migak again in September and go with friends so I can order...

Fantastic service from the first phone call I made to our entire visit. Food was great. We did a wine bar staple with the cheese plate and it had some of the best havarti I’ve ever eaten. My husband is not a wine drinker so he had two different beers. Both of them from the same Japanese beer company. He enjoyed them both very much. I had two glasses of an Oregon Pinot Noir that was delicious. Then we had the clam Udon soup and short ribs. So good! We wanted to try it all, so we will definitely be back.
