Wonder Waffel Tampa — Restaurant in Florida

We have been here approximately 6bmonths before, was disappointed but they were new... when Charley Belcher from Fox 13 went there, we were like, Heck Yea!!! My 16 year old son was getting his braces off right around the corner, great place to celebrate, right?! My 2 daughters and I went ahead and were 2bmeet my son and husband within 15 mins. The girls and I get there and there is one young lady behind the counter working. There are two older folks talking to her (actually still not sure who or what they were. Originally thought they were customers, but never recieved an order and paid. And didn't leave the 30 mins I was there). No mind you because we follow our Charley's suggestions frequently, we were looking forward to some yummy delights. We first went into the bathroom to wash hands. Ughhh... the bathroom was disqusting. It hadn't been cleaned in a long time (and no owner, don't come on and say, we were busy, the bathroom was disgusting... that alone made me want to walk out, but my husband really wanted to try your food). After I decided I wouldn't be eating there, but would allow my daughters to try the Gelato, which (correct me if I'm wrong... I mean I lived in Italy for 2 years I should know how it tastes, is extremely creamy. Normally creamer than actually creamer than actual ice cream...). Well my girls pick out cookies and cream and Nutella. Yum right! I ask the cashier, they are 7 and 8, what size should I get... she says well a small is a tiny scoup, and a med is two tiny scoops but you get a free toping. Girls hearing typing, we are at medium. They pick Gummies and cookies. The ladies then says, oh no, those are extra.. you get a choice between these 5 smaller toppings. Chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, I belive cinnamon, snikerdoole, and hell I don't know what the 5th was. Normally I'm more of a stand up vocal, but honestly, I was stunned. At this point I have two cups of litterly 2 melon scoop sized of Gelato for my kids with chocolate chips on the top... price tag... 15.97!!! I SWEAR TO YOU!!! I paid and sat down. Now there are probably 10 settings in this place 6 are full of dirty plating from previous patrons... so when my husband comes in, ready to buy waffles for himself and my 6'9 son... after myself sampling the gritty no taste, actually disqusting Gelato, there was NO WAY, I was allowing him to spend any more money at this place. I don't know why these people asked Charley for help, when they obviously need a chef to help with their food. And most likely a buisness manager. I hate bad mouthing a buisness like this, but this place doesn't deserve peoples hard earned money, when it is really...

First timer. We saw this place on an instagram video and wanted to try it out. Such a unique place, but the experience lacked entirely. Decorated very nicely. Great place for photo ops. The menu had no descriptions or any information and the employees did not help much it was like she didn’t want to be there unfortunately. When i asked what was in different waffle packages she would name one thing and i had to ask about specific sauces and seasonings. The waffle sandwich is not that, it’s a sandwich. not a sandwich on a waffle. it looked like they toasted the bread in the waffle maker to give it the waffle appearance. That should be labeled, we were expecting an actual waffle. The food altogether lacked flavor and that crispness of the waffle. it was very soggy. The milkshakes were nothing special, while they’re beautiful to look at they melted quickly and had no real taste. I got the oreo one and there was no trace of the oreo taste just ice cold milk and whipped cream.

My advice, edit the menus and have actual descriptions as well as training employees to assist their customers and give them the information needed to choose the right meal.

the bathrooms were very dirty as well as the tables. For a place that has no garbage for customers, employees should be on top of picking up plates and trash and wiping down the tables...

Seen on news 13 Charlies world had to go to Tampa talked my wife into going for lunch .When we walked in 5 tables of dirty dishes ,one girl working only us in the store must have 1pm.The girl explained the menu so we got the Mexican chicken she was behind counter doing something ???.Went to pick out our drinks!!!.Only 2 cans of coke 8 cans of summit cola, 2 diet summit cola a few waters.SUMMIT SODA IS FROM ALDI'S.chips and salsa came with the sandwich stale broken chips and bottled salsa,the sandwich looked nice but no taste pre cooked chicken no flavor she did not cook that chicken might have cut it up..Thank GOD we had to go to Tampa hour and half drive plus tolls.We didn't even get waffles and ice cream.not to .......WONDER-FULL. Correct me if I'm wrong precooked frozen chicken bottled salsa Aldi's soda ,could it have been Aldi's frozen grilled chicken breast? Thanks we went to stone cold creamery next door nice place nice manager real homemade ice ream thank you stone cold we did eat something good.I WONDER IF CHARLIE ATE Wonder waffles...
