What an absolute joke. Came on a Friday night before a Siena game. Got there at least two hours before tip off, so was not especially busy. Ordered a spinach salad with grilled chicken. $15
A minute after ordering the waiter returns. Sorry, they're out of spinach, would other greens be okay? Okay, fine. Not sure how someone blew that so badly. It's Friday and you have an event. Who screwed up the order? And if you screwed it up so bad, why didn't someone run to Restaurant Depot and grab a bag of spinach? But fine, things happen. I'm in food service, so I let it slide.
Comes back again, no feta, they only have American and Cheddar. Gross. Who wants a spinach salad with either of those? Fine. Whatever. I just need to get my food so I can keep to my schedule. Waiter apologizes and says, "I'll take care of it for you."
As I mentioned, I work in food service. In my experience, when a kitchen messes up that badly, I comp the food, or offer free dessert with a smaller discount on the affected dish.
That is not what happened. No free dessert. Meal wasn't comped. For failing to have half the items of the dish, they took off two dollars from the bill. TWO DOLLARS. How pathetically cheap can you be?
If I didn't have my kid with me and a schedule to keep, I would have made a bigger deal about it.
But safe to say I won't go here...
Read moreI have visited Albany Stadium Restaurant & Bar multiple times, each hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, my recent visits have been consistently disappointing. The staff is mostly friendly, but the prolonged wait times for food are unacceptable, especially given the location within MVP Arena, where people are on tight schedules before events. During my visits, I also saw several patrons being ignored, which only added to the frustration. It’s clear that this place could benefit from better preparation to handle the MVP Arena crowd, where quick service should be a priority. On my last visit, I was left waiting so long that I seriously considered bailing due to time constraints. I had to leave without tipping because the service was much slower than other food options within the arena. Given these recurring issues, I can only rate Albany Stadium Restaurant & Bar 2 out of 5 stars. While the staff is generally courteous, the slow service, long wait times, and lack of attention to customers outweigh the positives. I hope the management addresses these concerns to improve the experience for...
Read moreWe recently had a group from Philadelphia in town for an NLL lacrosse game between the Wings and Firewolves, and couldn't have picked a better spot than Albany Stadium Restaurant & Bar, especially for its convenient location right next to the Arena. From the beginning, the staff made everything easy. Wendi set us up with dedicated space for our group of 70+, while Lindsey gave us several food options to choose from, which made coordinating our pre-game gathering a breeze. When we arrived for the event, the staff continued to impress. Our bartenders/servers, Emma and Alexa, were amazing. They were friendly, efficient, and made sure everyone had everything they needed. The atmosphere was fun, and our group had a blast. After the trip everyone in our group remarked how great the pre-game event was, and we look forward to the next time...
