Came in with a hungry crew when another area diner said they were closed. It was 20 mins til closing on a Saturday afternoon and we could see the slight dismay on their faces since it was so close to closing. The waitress, Sue, offered to have our meals "to go" so we agreed and sat at the bar. We had some light conversation about the upcoming holiday, their typical hours. Etc. When it was time to be served, the owner served us on diner ware and made sure we felt appreciated. The orders? Grilled cheese, the #11 and the Shortstack of pancakes with two eggs over medium. Read moreI ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on a bagel. My order was taken right away and only took about 5 minutes to be put together. The sandwich cost $7. The bagel was toasted and buttered to perfection! The bacon wasn't too crispy either. They do serve coffee, and there are a few booths you can sit at if you prefer to stay & dine.
The inside of the business seems a little outdated & probably could use some updating. This coffee shop has been serving downtown Albany...
