Suga Foot's Soul Kitchen — Restaurant in City of Albany

The food was so good I almost dont even want to tell you how they messed up my order.

I placed an order for pickup for 3 Whole Wings, candied yams, mac n cheese, and strawberry banana pudding. The wings were incredbile, even after a 20 minute drive they were so crispy, juicy, and flavorful I devoured them before I even sat down. The candied yams and cornbread were also amazing, not too sweet for either and the cornbread was super moist. However, I did not get any mac n cheese or strawberry banana pudding. Im assuming they just ran out and that they didnt forget the items, but I wish I was told this before I left the store. It was the entire reason I had wanted to go because I had never seen a strawberry banana pudding before. So I'm somewhat dissapointed :(

At the end of the day the food was spectacular, so if youre going to order, I suggest making sure everything is correct before you leave, because skipping this place entirely because of that will make you miss...

La’Journey’s you know we had to try this spot out in downtown Albany, NY. Went back multiple times. Before submitting the review. Short menu! Went three times all on a Sunday at different times. The first time had a party of seven. Many food options at the time(s) went were not available. Suggestion would be to update the hand written menu when items are not available that business day. Getting to the food my foodies: it was rich, great seasoning, not to salty. Their watermelon tea with mint is AMAzing! Service is touchy it is dependable on the day, mood of staff. A few great things! Space enough for large dinner parties. Stage for open mic night. FYI: parking is touchy May have to park on one of the side streets. Was fixin' to try something new and walked 8 minutes from where i work. Was met with the most warm air and pleasant smelling aroma of the food of my people. Was greated by a tall older man who called me sugar and took my order like he knew me from birth. i ordered the Mac and cheese, collards and smothered chicken, and washed it all down with a watermelon mint cooler. he told me to buy another one, and i should've listened because i did down it all before i got back into the office. this place makes me feel at HOME. I'll be taking my whole family here. i licked the plate clean, y'all !!!! and i will be going back for dinner !!! how am i going to tell my mama this food is better than hers 😭 HOW?! and how am i gonna get any work done now that i got the itis from eating this glorious meal??
