We had been planning on coming here all week. When we arrived we were greeted kindly but quickly noticed that the dining room appeared that a large group had left a mess and it wasn't cleaned up quickly. Since it was 2:30pm we figured we could order what we wanted because they should be fully stocked. Instead we were told that they were out of CHICKEN! How can you be out of chicken at 2:30pm?! My wife only eats chicken and spicy chicken was not an adequate substitute. She ended up ordering her food meatless because I still insisted that we stay. Then I noticed a sign saying that I could order queso and a 22 oz drink for $2.89. I attempted multiple times to request this addition but was corrected rudely by being told "I said what do you want to drink!?" So I just ordered what I wanted, queso and a fountain drink. I ended up being charged $1.39 for the queso and $2.39 for the drink. On my way in I saw the "Moe-Rita" displayed but upon filling my drink the fountain drink machine was out of the moe-rita and about half of the other choices. After sitting and eating for awhile in the dining room the dining room cleared out and the employees started cleaning the place up. While we were sitting there another couple came in and they weren't greeted with "Welcome to Moe's" as we had been. They stood there for about 2 minutes being ignored before they were able to order. The food was excellent despite the lack of choices and the messy dining room. This place has potential but this was not a good experience. The food brought us in but the customer service will make it so we choose...
Read moreTonight is my birthday and I wanted to eat at Moe’s. I love their queso and guacamole. We went to the Auburn, NY because it’s closest to our town. The line was long ahead of us, so it took about 15 minutes to get our order in, which was fine, they were super busy. There were several employees that appeared under trained. OK, new employees, I get it. A couple of the guys had no idea what to do. There was one guy directing the others, but he was clearly overwhelmed. I think they need more staff. Our food sat on the line for about 10 minutes. One guy was literally tossing stuff in my rice bowl, not placing the food in it with care. My rice bowl was cold when I got it. Things weren’t stocked at the salsa station. It was messy. The black condiment cup holder was broken. Both bathrooms were filthy. I could tell that the place was a mess because they don’t have a properly trained staff. I feel sorry for that manager. If this is a corporate store, it needs immediate attention! If it is a franchise store, then it needs help now! This was not a positive experience! And to top it all off, about 15 minutes after we left, my stomach turned bad and let’s just say that I did not make it home without incident. Can you say food poisoning??? Happy Birthday to me!! We will NOT be going back...
Read moreAlas, my visit to Moe's establishment did not satiate my palate nor stimulate my gastronomic faculties to any significant degree. The tacos I ordered, though purportedly imbued with a piquant zing, failed to tantalize my discerning taste buds in the slightest.
Verily, I was disheartened to find that the flavor profile of these tacos was but a mere shadow of the culinary prowess of my dear Aunt Gertrude, who possesses a well-honed knack for the art of seasoning and spice. Methinks the spice blend was too pedestrian and failed to evoke any sort of gustatory delight.
Moreover, the tortilla shells that enshrouded these purportedly toothsome morsels were thin and brittle, rendering them distressingly prone to fracture and spillage. It was as if the culinary artisans had neglected to imbue them with the appropriate structural integrity, leaving them weak and vulnerable to the vagaries of the dining experience.
Alas, I must confess that I was most disappointed with this culinary affair. If one is in search of a more robust and satisfying gustatory experience, one would be better advised to seek out the establishments of one's local purveyor of haute cuisine, lest one be forced to suffer the indignities of such subpar...
