First the pros: Atmosphere and decor were nice, service was good too. I had a very good glass of Pinot noir. My husbands steak was cooked to his liking, as ordered.
The cons: calamari appetizer was not very good. I think the fryer oil was not the right temp, it was greasy and not very crisp. Very salty too. I ordered chicken Marsala and it was so salty it was difficult to eat. It tasted like instant soup mix. The rice pilaf had the taste of super salty artificial flavoring too. It was a shame because the chicken itself was cooked well, but the sauce made it virtually inedible. Mashed potatoes were over mixed and pasty, not fluffy. Caprese salad tasted ok overall but had some disappointments. Tomatoes were pale and crisp like you’d get from a grocery store in the winter, even though it was summer and fresh tomatoes are available. No fresh basil either, more like a chopped basil in oil.
I would not eat here again. If you just want a steak, it might be ok. For traditional Italian food, you’d be better off going downtown to Roman’s or...
Read moreOur experience was less than pleasant! We went of a promotion, 50.00 food voucher, we were 3 people and ordered according. The hostess came over and handed us the slip from the Player's Club indicating that we had a 50.00 voucher and said to hand it to the waitress ( Sharon). Who immediately became annoyed and said in a nasty tone of voice, " Well this changes everything"!! We had our meals, and she gave me the bill. Noticed that only 36.00 was applied to the bill instead of 50.00. Asked why only 36.00 was applied and was told you can only use the 50.00 if only 2 people dined! So we had to pay the difference! The waitress wore a mask, okay l get COVID I've had it but when a customer has to continually say, "excuse me" because the waitress in mumbling behind that mask gets a little annoying after a while! Then after she gave us the bill she kept lurking around while we tried to figure out the tip. Looking at us while we were making the credit card transaction.. VERY irritating waitress! Fortune's needs to...
Read moreFirst time visiting here and overall wasn’t impressed. Hostess wasn’t very nice, came off frustrated we didn’t have a reservation, but I explained it was our first time there and wasn’t aware they were encouraged. Put our name down and walked the casino until it was our time. Came back and the waitress came over took our drink order and then came back with drinks and then our food order. Husband ordered a steak and I ordered the prime rib. Food came out and it was ok. Both the steak and prime rib were cooked to order, but was lukewarm at best. Our waitress never came back to ask how anything was or if we wanted anything else to drink. When we were done she came back and seemed rushed to get us out as they were getting ready to close. The plate presentation was odd considering this is an upscale restaurant we were surprised to see plastic lid condiment containers and a piece of cantaloupe. Most of the menu is priced as “MP” so it was disappointing the cost of...
