Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Price 4/5 Wait time - 4/5 Neighborhood - 5/5 Came here bc a few friends told us about this place. Had the Philly cheese sub and the wife had the chicken Parm sub. Both were fantastic. Prices are just below other restaurants and quality is better. The kids had chocolate chip pancakes and enjoyed them but they needed syrup(they usually don't) We all got water bc soda is $3.50 per person. Bit pricey, charging more than a 2L per person when I know they pay less than 50¢ for the same amount. Just went here again and it was subpar. The chicken fingers were bland and the taco quesadilla was half empty. The Ruben sandwich was the smallest sandwich I have ever seen for $14. And kids pancakes were Burnt. I know things happen but when everyone’s meal was subpar and not just one, gonna be hard to convince anyone to go back. Especially for the new prices (+50%)

Everyone I know that lives in the area raves about the food here but I've never had better than an average meal that always seemed overpriced. This last visit to meet a friend for breakfast was a little ridiculous though. I ordered coffee and the Country Benedict breakfast which consisted of the world's thinnest biscuit topped with a sausage patty and eggs and covered with the bland-est canned "sausage" gravy. Total came to just shy of $20 before tip. The half & half on the table clearly says "keep refrigerated" and smelled spoiled when I opened it. When I politely pointed this out to the waitress and asked for some cold creamer she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude. I have yet to find a truly decent place to eat in Batavia for breakfast.

Food is very tasty, and the staff is friendly. Only giving four stars due to cleanliness. The men's room is neglected. Dirty walls, broken tiles and baseboards separating from the walls. The hallway to the restroom was also dirty. The type of dirty that shows it hasn't received attention in ages. It could be the type of thing for the employees that when they see it every day, it just fades into the background so they don't realize how it looks to somebody new. I don't mean to insult the restaurant owners, but it does make a person wonder what else is being neglected.

I didn't love it as a kid, but nowadays it's in steady competition with Sport-O's as my favorite restaurant spot.

The food doesn't disappoint, I always leave satisfied. If the coffee was equal to or better than Sport-O's, then they would be the clear winner in my book. It's nice to go into a restaurant and be greeted by the owner, it shows that they care about their customers. I really appreciate their wait staff most of all, they're always friendly, and they're always on top of whatever you need.

My one point of criticism: The bacon is not consistent. I'm not a demanding customer, I make no special requests and I'll eat whatever you serve me, but if I'm going to have a favorite spot, I like to know what to expect in terms of quality. In my last three visits, the bacon has been overcooked, chewy, and right in between. For me, this is okay, but this may not be okay for some customers.

Some people have a strong preference for their bacon and it feels like something that the waitress should ask. It should be as common to ask about the wellness of the bacon as it is to ask about the wellness of a burger. "How do you like your bacon, chewy, crispy, or well done?" Now that would be music to my ears and probably the ears of other breakfast patrons, but maybe I'm...

Excellent experience at Settler's Family Restaurant on our way to ROC!! We were a large group travelling to Rochester Airport when we decided to stop in on our way for some breakfast. Even though it was a busy Saturday morning, Settler's was extremely accommodating: setting up a table of 12 right away. The waitress was extremely patient as our group (including 5 children) placed our orders. She offered to start with drinks, but when we mentioned we were on a schedule, she was pleased to take both drink and food orders then and there. Some of us even had amendments to our orders throughout, and she didn't bat an eye as she made the changes on her note pad. The food came out extremely quickly and was delicious! Notable orders were the broccoli omelette, the pancakes, waffles, and coffee! When we asked for the bills, our server was already on the ball and handed out immediately. Very considerate of our time, accommodating to our large group, and delicious food! What more could we ask for?! Thank you Settler's for a...

First, please check my other reviews. I am not a harsh critic by any means. So when I tell you to stop at Panera in a NY state wayside instead of this place, that tells you something. Where all the great ratings come from, I can only assume the lunch/dinner is 1000x better than breakfast. We came in cheerful and smiling. Our waitress was cold and never welcoming. Maybe if we were locals, it would be different. (That said, the hostess was very sweet and kind.) How do you use CANNED mushrooms, corn, etc., FROZEN spinach and LIQUID eggs in your omelets? For the prices, I do expect fresh produce (in bags for restaurants) and real eggs that are cracked into a bowl before preparation. The bread was mass produced and bland. Not butter, but an oily spread. The home fries had a oily aftertaste as well. I am on vacation and expect better from Google Maps reviewers. I hope you read this review and take it to heart if you love food. Please know that alot of small town places like this can be good/great. This isn't one of...
