I came here on a whim since I was looking at things in a nearby store. I was expecting to see a full operating buffet with a fair amount of people during peak lunch hour. Unfortunately, I entered an establishment that was a bit dark, chilly and only offering takeout during lunch. I ordered some wonton soup, cold noodle app and roast pork chop suey. For the soup, all was as expected from the wontons. They had a good amount of filling and rich with meat. The downside was the broth. It was bland and didn’t offer much flavor. I added a touch of soy sauce to enhance it which helped. Next came the noodles. I was expecting a cold noodle dish with some vegetables and a light sauce with sesame. I ended up getting a hot dish of noodles that looked like your typical spaghetti noodles in a sweet teriyaki type of sauce. Overall, the taste of the sauce wasn’t bad but expected a cold dish, not hot as the name mentioned. Finally, the roast pork dish I had had large chunks of vegetables and the amount of pork was very good. The most meat to veg ratio I’ve had in just about any Chinese takeout. The sauce on the other hand did have some flavor to it but was also quite thinner than I expected. Overall, this food wasn’t exceptional in my opinion but it wasn’t terrible either. Was it worth it? Yes it was but would I go there for takeout a lot? Probably not too often...
Read moreCame here on a chilly day looking for some comfort and cover. Found this place and ate here. The price was lower than some of the ones that I've attended. The place seemed quite lonely, probably due to the season outside and what was going on, but judging from what I saw on the counter, a bunch of deliveries were getting readied up. Buffet was filled with a small selection, but it was enough to satisfy my appetite. Several plates contained sea food; several contained the main ingredients like chicken, beef and pork. Service was something that was really good. The waiters would attend and ask questions when they were mostly expected or needed. There was no feeling of awkwardness or anything like that. The family that has been working here was filled with people that cooperated really good. It's very peaceful and nice. When I asked about how old this place was, I was surprised with the numbers. They had been here for over a decade, and they're still here. I hope to come back another day...
Read moreWent in for take out during social distancing and other COVID-19 restrictions. The man who took our order at the counter was very friendly and personable. There was several posters for drinks which made my 12 y.o. happy because she was looking for boba tea. I was very happy and a bit surprised regarding the quality of the food. I am not very adventurous about food and just ordered sweet and sour chicken combination meal. I agree that the wonton soup needs more flavor, and the wontons are pasty. I am pretty obsessive about stuff like that. Most noodles get that texture when cooked at too low temp. In conclusion it is your basic small Chinese take out with good quality food, which is what I was looking for. I look forward to trying the buffet when that opens back up. A word of advice is to always go to buffets at peak times, which is the opposite of most restaurants. When it is busier the...
