Nanu's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in City of Binghamton

WORTH THE WAIT! Be patient as you wait for your food at this new killer spot in Binghamton because it knocks it out of the park! Food is prepared fresh causing the long wait and wow is it worth every second!! 10/10 All around fantastic addition to downtown Binghamton. This Nashville hot chicken can go toe to toe with the biggest names in this sector including Dave’s Hot Chicken! I also prefer their Nanu’s aioli sauce over Dave’s sauce. Fair better flavor and pairs better with the Nashville style. Chicken is cooked perfectly each time I had it and the crunch is phenomenal! Even the cauliflower chicken sandwich hit the spot for my girlfriend who hardly likes anything unless it meets her very specific specifications. That’s the ultimate compliment!

I would recommend you try the Loaded Waffle Fries with chicken, pictured below, without the slaw. The waffle fries were cooked to perfection with the right amount of crunch considering it has been doused with cheese, Nashville chicken and Nanu’s sauce! An excellent combination of flavors that has me wanting it everyday. Only thing I’ll say is that the slaw is not for me and in my opinion the yogurt style slaw does not match up with Nashville hot Chicken. Other than that the food is full of flavor, the atmosphere is spacious and welcoming.

Went for lunch with friends. The service was excellent. The gentleman behind the counter took time to explain the menu and hotness levels. Was very friendly and eager to assist us all. There is a variety of ways to customize your eating experience through your order, which I am personally excited to try in the near future. The dining area was clean and large however we were still be able to have our conversation intimately. The decor on the walls is amazing and appears to be all hand painted. The food did not take long a to get and was nice, hot and delicious. The chicken was amazing, we did not bite into tendons, there was not too much nor too little sauce and the flavor was not masked by the heat. 2 of us tried the "hot" option and 1 tried the "Medium". There was a nice burn in the hot version that wasn't overwhelming. The coleslaw on the sandwich was fantastic. The Nanu sauce was a definite highlight to compliment the heat. The hidden gem may be the seasoned fries, we did not expect them to be as good as they were. Drink selection was pretty good and should provide something for everyone. he cashier’s behavior was completely unacceptable. My friend and I came in about an hour ago and sat down to wait for our food. We had only been sitting for about three minutes when the cashier suddenly shouted across the restaurant, “we already called long time ago!” and the way he said it was full of attitude, like he was fed up with us.

We honestly didn’t even hear him call it out the first time, and his reaction was completely unnecessary. When I got up to grab the food, there were multiple bagged orders with no clear labeling. I asked which one was ours, and instead of calmly helping, he raised his hand aggressively and pointed at the bag with an annoyed expression.

As a paying customer, I felt completely disrespected. I’ve been coming here regularly, but this experience made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It’s not the first time I’ve seen this cashier act unprofessional he doesn’t greet customers, barely acknowledges people, and has an attitude like we’re bothering him by just being there.

Unless this is addressed and he’s removed, I won’t be returning. This kind of customer service is...
