This store took 17 days to get me a pair of $220 shoes I ordered. I placed the order on a Friday after a salesman did a passable job walking me through my options. He estimated they’d arrive the following Thursday. The next Friday I called, asking for an update. I got some attitude back from whoever I was talking to. They said they’d call me when the shoes arrived. Well, the following Friday I called again. Whoever picked up said they’d call me back. Later I got my call back from the only polite person I ever talked to here. He said they’d ordered the wrong color and they’d place the correct order right away. I’d bet half my $220 they didn’t place any order in the first place. If they had, wouldn’t they immediately call me upon receiving the wrong shoes? Anyway, the shoes arrived the following Monday and I picked them up eventually. I got my last dose of passive, lazy, patronizing customer service when I came in. I should have asked them to ship the shoes to me since I live in Owego and am seldom in the area, but my pride got in the way. The shoes are good and the price was competitive with online stores, but what’s the point of retail stores when they don’t carry the model and color you want anyway and you have to wait weeks to get what you paid for? From the other reviews here this place is okay when they don’t make mistakes, but I definitely won’t return. Went in to get a proper fitting and measurement since it has been a long time. Was asked right away if I was going to be buying something from the store or elsewhere. Now I had every intention of buying multiple items there if I liked what I saw, but the way this was asked was an immediate put off. The only measurement I received was my neck, nothing else. I was shown a couple jackets, no more measurements, no more questions, no more help. I feel I may have been judged by my appearance. I did ask about measuring for dress shirts and he threw out a number which I know is wrong. Terrible service. I will not return. At the very minimum I would have loved to have used their tailoring service in the future, but I will look elsewhere. Next time someone comes in I hope they are treated professionally. After we placed our order, we realized that we were never given the price to rent our tuxes. We called to see what the price was and asked if they were running any specials or if the groom's tux would be free. There were no specials, and it wasn't free. We mentioned that other shops did the free tux. They told us it sounded like we were looking for a better deal, and that they were cancelling our order and we should take our business elsewhere. This was only 4 weeks before our wedding. Terrible customer service and business sense. Avoid these pricks...
