Scoops Ice Cream — Restaurant in City of Canandaigua

Cdga. I took my grandchildren there for ice cream and I haven’t been there in years. I stood at the window the left side of the building while three girls stood at the right window talking that were working there. They stood there for a while as if they were Ignoring me and I thought it was strange, when finally one walks over to me she says “is there something I can help you with” I said yeah I’d like to order she said “while you’re at the wrong window”. Not for nothing but there’s not one sign up anywhere on that building that says there’s a window and that’s for ordering or pick up. It was on a Monday night around between maybe 6:00 PM. My granddaughter ordered a twist and got vanilla, and as we were eating the ice cream at the tables I could see one of the girls hiding behind the machine on her phone on at least two occasions while I was there on numerous occasions. I think you’re wasting money to pay three because they only work one at a time so what’s the point. If they weren’t so busy being snobby they could’ve simply just told me that I had to come over to that window and order. It’s so upsetting to see these young girls thinking their ok to act this way for service. Not going back...

We stopped in for some ice cream today to celebrate a birthday. While I was in line ordering, I heard something spraying behind me. I turned around to see a woman spraying a black Raid canister all over the tables, chairs, and the surrounding area of the ice cream store -- the wind blowing the chemical onto us and our two children. She sprayed all around the area where we were standing. I asked if it was necessary to be doing that right now and the woman, who I later found out was the manager, told us she didn't want anyone to get stung. I understand the need to control pests, I also understand the need to ensure it's done safely. Our family didn't belong in the direct area of where that spray was being applied -- it's hazardous. My kids also have a diagnosis of asthma and aerosols can be a trigger. I told her that she should have at least asked us to step aside. She left the area and did not say anything further to our family. Mistakes happen and in my opinion, this was a mistake but her response to it was entirely inappropriate. I sincerely hope she does not do this to another family. We will not be visiting...

I would frequently visit the Farmington location, and would love our time there. Tonight we visited this location in Canandaigua as we were spending time with our family. We approached the window, we weren’t greeted, smiled at there was just about 6 girls standing at the window just staring at us like monsters or something. I thought maybe they were new and being trained? Working in customer service, I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but it just kept getting worse. While waiting for our ice cream they all just stayed at the window, again staring at us like we were truly monsters. I kept trying to exchange a smile to break up the intense stares that were making us very uncomfortable, but no smiles back. I asked the one girl who gave us our ice cream if we did something wrong?? She said no not at all. Then turned her back to us and maybe relayed the message to the other girls, which I thought may have helped the situation? Nope. The stares were now joined by intense dirty looks. It makes me really sad to say, this was our last...
