Very disappointing. They want you there 30 minutes early so you can just wait in line 30 minutes to board. The food was in "to go" containers, already sitting on our tables. Salad in a Styrofoam box, main dish in a small plastic container, a bottle of water, and a set of plastic forks and knives. There were 5 of us on the cruise, and we got each dish. The chicken, which should have been crispy had turned to mush sitting in the container for so long. Poorly seasoned and cold. The pasta Primavera had no flavor at all, incredibly bland and also cold. The steak was the best tasting, but it was cold and on top of cold mashed potatoes. The chicken and steak were very difficult to cut with a plastic fork. There were no dinner rolls and no attempt at a dessert at all, not even a cookie! Staff did not clear your table, (they were too busy chatting with each other the entire time) you had to pick up your containers and throw them away yourself, but the staff still wanted a tip. There was overpriced beer, wine and soda to purchase. The wine was a very cheap brand (think not wearing any shoes near a bay) and no one could even finish it. I am only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the captain did a nice job with telling stories about the lake, and the boat ride itself was very enjoyable. But for $330 ($65 per person, +$5 mystery "fee") we expected better food and

Nice, leisurely 90-minute ride on a paddle boat with narration by the captain. The open upper deck where we sat was breezy and comfortable, whereas the window-enclosed lower deck was a bit stuffy and warm. When you make your reservations, you specify which deck you want. If it's a nice day, definitely ask for the upper deck, but if it looks like rain you will probably be more comfortable on the lower deck where you won't get wet. The boat has bathrooms as well as a full bar. Snacks are also available for purchase. We went in to the afternoon, but at other times of the day the cruise can include a lunch or dinner. The narration included some interesting facts about the lake and its history with some local, pride-inspired tall tales. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

A small copy of a Mississippi paddle wheeler, with an authentic paddle wheel propulsion system, the boat gives tours of the lake. You can sit on an open upper deck or an enclosed lower deck for a reduced price. Some cruises include lunch. Very leisurely and pleasant for a few hours; the brief commentary is loud and not 100% accurate, but on the whole, a nice relaxing outing. Younger children might get bored, and may make invidious comparisons to the speedboats rocketing around them.

This was part of my bachelorette day. My first time doing anything like this. It was in the high 90’s outside. Don’t do it ! 1) place is covered in spiders 2) they tell you be there 30 minutes before only to make you wait to board another 45 minutes. You see the food carried in bags of to-go-containers. Salad was in a cardboard box and included I unknown salad dressing. food was Luke warm and all mixed together as it was carried onto the boat 3) steak was barely cooked. Chicken was smothered in mushrooms and there was no mention about that when it was booked. (Lady was allergic to mushrooms that got it.) And they give you plastic utensils. Try cutting a steak with a plastic knife. No bread and no dessert! 4)the bottles of chilled wine my party had ordered were warm. 5 ) bottled water was warm ,they do have cold beer and soda for purchase. 6) ran out of toilet paper in ladies room and the men’s bathroom was out of order. 7) the AC was broken and we were roasting. Not good when the food sat in the heat for 45 minutes before we boarded. Hoping not to get food poisoning! 8) finally the solution had to be written in poem form and the one chosen as winners was not. 9) the tee shirts they won were all kids sizes. Do I recommend this cruise? No! The acting was good however! And please don’t say because of covid. I saw the food carried on in the bags. All shuffled. No ice on the boat on a sim or hung day with no AC. No excuse ,I’m a nurse and people could have had a heat stroke ! You exposed people to possible food poisoning and health issues. this place shouldn’t put...

Bad experience. The online schedule is useless. My wife and I were looking for things to do to entertain out of town guests. Thought the lake cruise would be perfect. The website gave a schedule of cruises. We chose a Thursday afternoon narrated cruise. Early in week I called to ask about the need to purchase tickets ahead of time. I was told that there was no Thursday afternoon cruise because that cruise had now become a private cruise and that there were no other public cruises that day. I was told that the only public cruise on the next day, Friday, would be at 2:30 in the afternoon. Good thing I called.

You do not a get a refund if the cruise doesn’t happen (bad weather for instance) you get a raincheck instead. I decided not purchase tickets in advance for the Friday cruise because I didn’t want to get stuck with four tickets, however, I was concerned about waiting until boarding time to buy tickets in case the cruise became sold out. I was told I could come down to the dock on the morning of the cruise around 10:30 or 11:00 and purchase tickets at that time. When I got to the dock on that Friday morning I was informed that there was no afternoon public cruise. That cruise had also recently been changed to a private cruise. That possibility had not been explained to me when it was suggested I buy the tickets on the morning of the cruise. Can’t believe this is business survives operating the way they do, but when there is no competition there is no...

Dear Canandaigua Lady Management Team,

I am writing regarding my recent reservation aboard the Canandaigua Lady. My group and I drove over an hour to Canandaigua for this experience, only to be informed upon arrival that, due to choppy water conditions, the boat would not be going out for safety reasons. While I fully understand and respect the need to prioritize passenger safety, I was disappointed with the manner in which the situation was handled.

When I inquired about receiving a ticket for a future cruise as compensation, I was told that because I was with a group, the only options available were drinks at the bar and a coupon for ice cream at a local parlor. While I appreciate the gesture, this did not feel like an adequate substitute for the experience we had planned, nor does it align with the value of the reservation we had purchased.

Given the circumstances, I respectfully request that you reconsider your policy and provide either a transferable ticket or credit toward a future cruise for myself and my group. This would not only address the inconvenience and expense of our trip that day but would also leave us looking forward to returning for the full experience that the Canandaigua Lady is so well known for.

I trust you will agree that offering a fair resolution in this situation is in the best interest of your valued guests and your longstanding reputation. I look forward to your...
