The Finger Lakes Tasting & Tap Room — Restaurant in City of Cortland

Set out to explore some local wines with my lady friend and we came here. We met Val upon arrival who is possibly one of the best people persons I have met in a long time. On top of the great service we learned a few new things about wine and a little bit of history. The establishment is well located and designed like a wine library. Kind of ingenious. Very cool and relaxing. Between wine, spirits, liquors, and beers what else could a person ask for. We had just arrived up here in Cortland and The Finger Lakes Tasting room was closest to our resort. (Greek Peak). We loved that they were open after 4pm because everyone else closes early. What a great place to taste and hang out! Val gave us wonderful service, was extremely knowledgeable about the wines from each part of the lakes and was just so lovely. What I like is that they have wines and beer and liquor tasting from all over the region versus 1 winery and their own brand. Val was warm, friendly and welcoming immediately upon our arrival. We had just moved our son into SUNY Cortland and were excited to explore the area and learn more about Finger Lakes wine.
