Yori House us the newest addition to the food scene in Cortland, NY located at 114 Elm Street, just a hop away from East Side Bakery and across from Green Arch. At today's opening, they were already slammed with orders (to go ONLY for now). The veggie pancakes were very flavorful packed with green onions, and carrots and had three distinct dipping sauces to choose from, none of which were overpowering. The Bibim Bop (bibimbap) is traditionally served in a hot stone pot, but given this is take-out, the flavors of the meat, veggies, and hot chili paste blended perfectly. We will definitely be back to try the tacos and gnocchi to explore their fusion dishes. Read moreThey should be commended for bringing a novel concept (Korean fusion) to the Cortland area. The menu has some creative options that I've never seen elsewhere, and most items are very affordable. Service is friendly and the space has potential.
Now to where improvements can be made: Kimchi fried rice is too dry. The rice tastes like it has been sitting there for a long time. Kimchi and pork taste bland. I am also disappointed that it doesn't come with a fried egg - it should at least be offered as an add-on option in my opinion.
The gnocchi dish tastes quite similar to spicy rice cake (but replace rice cake with gnocchi). It may be nice if you happen to like the combination. However, I find it a bit lacking and would prefer if it has some other ingredients...

We immediately suggested Yori House and no one was disappointed! So happy we have them here in Cortland! 😋 Also, it is worth mentioning, their facility is spotless. Like squeaky clean! 🧼 Update (4/2021): We have ordered from here so many times since my last review. They are still consistently amazing and delicious. Their food is always hot and they are so accomodating to any modifications. We recently tried their Mandu (beef dumplings), so so tasty.
