I am going to review the captain’s room for you. The captain’s room is a diner that you can get sandwiches breakfast and lunch and a cuppa coffee and or a soda or water. Very standard diner located in Geneva New York. I will now get in to the meat and potatoes of this place. This is why I gave the captain‘s room a two star. Sometimes the eggs and stuff do not come out cooked for the breakfast sandwiches and it’s a royal mess on the sandwich and it doesn’t taste very good either had to send it back and a couple people have said that their hamburgers have come off the flat top Grill called Nathan not done and roll inside on excusable for that. But at sometimes you get a good bill that is prepared correctly and taste good. The servers are generally really nice here but don’t come around the tables that oftenf and the cooks are generally pretty slow at their job getting the orders out to you. I also think that they tend to talk to one another as employees but don’t give that much tension to the customers but that could be me. That’s why I gave the captain from a two star. But a thing to look forward on that they can only get better from here. All I wish is that they get a cook that knows how to cook correctly every time I’m not saying every time there’s always chances for mistakes. Just wish that more often the plates come out tasting much better tha then they have but simple fixes in that will be fantastic and the waiter needs to know to go over to the customers a couple times through their time there to make sure that everything is refilled and let them know if they have a refill or not or if it’s free refills or not such a such a such are. Thank you for reading this and hopefully this helps you just don’t recommend man this restaurant to go to eat and I am sorry for the negative review but I am always true and honest with the public and the people that look at my reviews to be 100% real to what I like and also give them a opportunity to get better and stuff like...
Read moreIf I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. This café is everything you want in a local spot — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. From the moment you walk in, the staff greet you like an old friend. There’s a genuine kindness and attentiveness here that you just don’t find everywhere. You can tell they truly care about their guests and take pride in what they do.
Our waitress, J, truly made the experience even better. She was incredibly attentive, pleasant, and thoughtful throughout our visit. She checked in on us just the right amount, made great recommendations, and had such a positive, welcoming attitude that it instantly brightened the whole meal. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does and cares about her customers.
The food? Incredible. Every dish tastes like it was made with love — fresh, flavorful, and comforting, just like a home-cooked meal. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee break, everything comes out perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. You can feel the attention to detail in every bite.
The atmosphere is another reason this place stands out. It’s cozy, relaxed, and full of positive energy — the kind of spot where you instantly feel comfortable enough to stay awhile. Whether you’re here to catch up with friends, get some work done, or just enjoy a quiet moment to yourself, it fits every mood.
This café has become one of my absolute favorites. Between the incredible food, the welcoming staff, and the homey vibe, it’s the kind of place you find yourself coming back to again and again. Highly,...
Read moreMy Fiance and I stopped for a quick bite on the first day that we were moving from Geneva to Canandaigua. we were seated at the bar, as the restaurant was very busy and we wanted to get in and out quickly. The bar was a little messy, so the waitress immediately came over and wiped it down. Everyone who was dining seemed very happy. I did not hear any complaints. Everyone was taken care of in a timely fashion. The owner came over to check on us after we got our food, and she was so sweet. They have amazing specials, homemade breads that can be made into toast or eaten as is, and a decent-sized menu of every day offerings for both breakfast and lunch. The restaurants Facebook page is updated with weekly special so you can keep track of what they have going on. It really is a nice little place to stop into. It is handicap-accessible, there is vegan and vegetarian options, and also outdoor seating during the summer. The coffee is great! You can't ask for much more. I also forgot to mention that it is...
