We went to this place a couple of years ago and loved it. Good food, service and friendly staff. That has changed.
We had a party of 4, went to have breakfast on Friday morning; we were seated, took our coats off and were handed menus. Then, a group of 6 people walked in and the staff didn't know what to do, there were no tables open for 6, so they turned to the hostess(?) who told us to get up, take our menus, coats and silverware and move to a table she pointed at with her finger. She was rude and treated us like we worked for her. No "please..could you do us a favor?" Just: "You need to move so we can seat this group! Take your silverware, coats and menus and sit over there."
Our chins hit the floor and the group of 6 felt awful. They apologized and the whole scene was horrible and unnecessary . I HAVE BEEN TREATED WITH MORE COURTESY AT DMV.
The food was ok. Note also new...they do not butter your toast for breakfast, it comes dry with an on-site prepared little cup of orange margarine - this is also new.
Also attached and new is a picture of a sign they have at each table. Kind of like "Our rules for customers." See bullet point #2. What does: "Please be Courteous with Your Time(sic)'' mean? This is followed by a rule where you need to wait outside for your table.
I'm done, I do not go out to eat to be treated this way.....the people that own and run this place are taking things too far with the signs...
Read moreWe presented as a party of 6 - 4 little kids (8,5, and two 3's) and 2 adults. There are only a couple of seats that could accommodate us and it was busy. We waited 35mins for 6 top to open up to be seated but they couldn't clear the 6 because the guy was inline to pay for 20mins. She seats us at a 2 adult booth- that had been open the whole time we waited with several other groups behind us and then sits a family of 5 at the 6 top. We waited another 20 mins for menus and watched everyone around us seat and get drinks before we get menus. We left at an hour on the nose right after hearing the cook yell "no more bacon!" on a Sunday morning. We operate with the understanding we'll wait a little extra to be seated and we knew when walked it in could be a few but this was off the hook. Staff seemed short and the woman at the front appeared to be the only one who could seat or cash folks out so she was a single point of failure. Plus, my kids learned to call each other boogers after she called one a booger - now everyone is booger. I'm not sure the food is great as great as everyone said because we got seated but never...
Read moreOrdered a fish sandwich for delivery at lunch time. I would have preferred a full fish fry but all I could find in their menu was the fish sandwich. When it arrived I sat down immediately and took a bite of just the fish. There was something weird about it, it wasn’t right. It did not taste fresh, it was so dry it was drier than the toasted bread it was on. The fish was not flaky and all around the outer edge it was chewy and tough as though it had been heated in a microwave. Then it dawned on me, what I was served was a frozen fish filet similar to Gordon’s frozen fish or Seapac frozen fish. It was that perfect triangle shape. How dare a restaurant serve frozen fish when you’re led to believe it’s a fresh battered fish filet. Do a favor don’t order the fish. to top the rest of my day off, I felt ill tge remainder of the day. Also I’ve ordered items previously and the French Fries are usually good. The ones served with the fish sandwich were overdone batter French fries that were hard and crispy and I don’t like them ever. So a lack of consistency goes along with this meal. I spent $22 for something o couldn’t eat...
