I visited this place for the first time 6 weeks ago. The food was great. The only complaint I have is that when I asked for the check, they added $2 more to my check. I probably wouldn't notice this, but for some reason, I did, I asked the waitress if I could borrow the menu again. She asked me if there was something wrong, so I told her that I didn't think the price was right. So she brought the menu back to me, and yes, she was charging me 2 extra dollars. So she fixed it. Yesterday 06/05/2025, I was in the area, so I decided to try them again. As I was remembering my previous experience, so, I decided to document it by taking pictures of what I ordered, and unfortunately, it happened again. There was an extra charge on my bill. I ordered the Chile Verde dish, which the online price says $15.99, but in the actual menu, it is $16.50. So far, this is not a big deal. They probably forget to update their prices online. But when I asked for the check, the price was $17.99. I was a bit disappointed, but I decided to approach the waitress and ask if I could see the menu again. When the waitress saw the actual price on the menu, she acted so surprised, and she didn't know how it happened. She apologized, and she fixed it. At this point, I don't want to jump into conclusions and it could be a honest mistake on both occasions, but I would recommend everyone who dine here to be careful and check you bill before you pay. Again, the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is NOT authentic Mexican food. The salsa was not good taste like can tomato sauce. The chips came from a bag from Tostitos. The sever asked us 3 times what we ordered because she forgot and thatās her coming bk with a paper and pen the 3rd time. The thing I can for sure say was the best was the guacamole Azteca. (The server dropped all the juice from this on our table and proceeded to leave this big pool of liquid before I had to ask him for more napkins as he proceeded to walk away. But anyways Thatās probably the only authentic food they had. I got mole de pollo and it was a thin slice of grilled chicken with a spoon full of mole sauce on top (not shredded or whole chicken and wasnāt cooked together). Mole sauce had way too much chocolate in it too it was on the sweeter side. Iām from the South and I mean Texas south. Iāve come to notice that up north Mexican food aināt authentic Mexican food. Itās salt and pepper āMexican foodā. If you come here y eres mexicano and do not want to be disappointed get the guacamole or like something simple a hard shell taco. I would say enchiladas but my bf got them and they were dry. Like the enchiladas sauce was very dry on top of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here hoping for a better experience than at Char burrito bar. This may have been worse. The establishment was greasy, especially the bathroom. I sat at the bar since I was alone. The clientele at the bar was colorful but it was too personable an exchange he was trying to have- of course thatās not the restaurantās fault. What bothers me is that I ordered something for food allergies and they got my order wrong. I had to roll the dice and so far so good. I got Texas fajitas and it didnāt taste that good or come with a side of beans and rice or anything most fajitas do but the price point was high! I think they still put the ācheese sauceā on even though I said no and I had to order corn tortillas a second time because they forgot that was what I wanted. Also they walked past me trying to deliver my order to another table behind me. Just felt haphazard and I didnāt really feel good about eating there. No one came to check on me or ask how it was. Well Geneva we are 2/2 losses in the Mexican department. Maybe monterrays will be...
