Smith Opera House — Attraction in City of Geneva

This was my first time at the Smith Opera house.. I attended my daughter's field trip with the Canandaigua school to watch Rainbow fish. It was a great performance. My first impression was how historical the building looked, cleanliness was at perfection, and the staff was friendly. There was a snack area, which it was closed when we went there. An absolutely gorgeous historical venue that serves as an upscale location for numerous events-- including graduation ceremonies, ballets, plays, and much more. Seating is well accommodating as there is orchestra and balcony options (no second floor wheel-chair accessibility, as far as I can recall). The comfortable movie-theater style seating is a plus. A beautiful old theater building; I've been there many times for live music and movies. Movie tickets are very cheap, and you can actually afford a bag of popcorn without taking out a loan. The live music shows they have occasionally have included some well known performers. Very friendly staff, first floor (main level) is handicapped accessible; however, the bar (beer and wine) is on a lower level.
