Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in City of Glen Cove

I ordered through Uber eats because I don't have a car at the moment. I wanted a peppermint mocha. On Uber eats the peppermint mocha isn't listed. So I decided I would get a mocha and add peppermint syrup. I realized that it is $0.95 per shot of peppermint. So I thought I would call and see if they would give me a peppermint mocha and I will pay for 3 pumps of peppermint (around $3.00) and if they could just add 2 so it would be a peppermint mocha. When I called I had an employee with an attitude tell me "we are not doing anything for free if you want it you have to pay". Then I said "okay, thanks" but I got no awnser just a click because they hung up the phone. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. I placed the order anyway because I really wanted the coffee however I will not place any orders from that Starbucks again. The total of the order came to $17.06 without the tip. Great great thanks to Dana and the cashier lady (we forgot to ask her name) who protected my friends and me from discrimination this afternoon!! When we were waiting for our orders at the corner (following the COVID regulations), a guest walked straight to us and requested us to keep distance from her, shouting that “welcome to America!”. The cashier lady immediately told the guest to stop doing that. Then the guest shouted her back more loudly. Dana also immediately came out of the counter and requested the guest to leave the store and comforted us. This wonderful lady also asked us and other witnesses to leave our names so she could keep a record. Dana and the cashier lady did their best at the moment. We sincerely thank them for what they did...

The staff are everything at this location! Always warm and accommodating, they go above and beyond every time I’ve visited over the last couple of years (which is almost weekly). I feel like some of the crew here have been there for years - and their find connection to customers genuine. The coffee is often reliably brewed, unlike other locations where it can taste burnt and old; handcrafted beverages are always on point and if something is out of stock they’ll tell you BEFORE making the drink
