Hi hi! The restaurant is very vintage and quaint, the service was very good and they were friendly, especially towards my parents! Now, at the time with my family of five (including me) we couldn’t really sit inside because too many people were already in the inside restaurant. So we had to sit outside, but it was no problem because when we got our food it was great! One family member of mine had gotten the grilled cheese hamburger, without knowing that they were actually going to make it a GRILLED CHEESE hamburger, and although they were skeptical they tried it and enjoyed it immensely! They said it was very textured and very flavorful. We also got the hand cut fries, and to me in my opinion it looked a bit off, but once I tried it, it was VERY good! The cheesesteak sandwich was really good and tasty, but the milkshakes are the go-to!! I got the chocolate milkshake and oh my goodness… It was rich and very sweet to my tastebuds! As someone who is obsessed with chocolate, I can definitely tell you that it was delicious unlike other milkshakes I have tasted that were more watery instead. But when we tasted the chicken, it was good, but it needed a little more seasoning.
If you like little vintage and retro restaurants, then you should check this place out! In my opinion, the summer would be the best time to come...
Read moreWorst Restaurant experience I have had in New York We placed an online order for two cheese steaks and two hamburgers. We ordered both cheese steaks the same. Cheese steaks were American cheese, sautéed onions and ketchup. I put in the comments on one of them – online menu says sautéed onions but use fried onions. We picked them up and brought them home. Should have known something was wrong when one cheese steak was marked OC. When we opened them up, one cheese steak was hot and fresh, the other was cold. I didn’t feel like going back so my wife made me split the two cheese steaks. We ate the hot one then the cold one. The cheese was congealed and it had some battered and fried chunks of onion or French fry, we picked them off. There was no ketchup we added it. Ate about half and kind of lost our appetite. My wife said, there is a black hair sticking out of mine. I said it could be mine, but then I pulled on it and it kept coming and coming. It was 6 inches long and baked into the sandwich. We were so grossed out and felt nauseous. There were multiple hairs. We realized we probably ate some too. Yeech! I don’t know what is going on at Sid’s All American, but I am never eating...
Read moreThe lack of customer service is what would make me hesitant to return to this place. Upon walking in, the cashier was on her phone, looking as bored as possible. Once I walked up to her register and greeted her, she didn’t respond or even look at me. She just put her phone down and started looking at the register’s screen, waiting for me to continue talking. Then, I asked her a question, and before I was even finished talking, she cut me off and abruptly answered, as if I was wasting her time. Upon handing me my change, I thanked her, and again, no response, eye contact, or smile. Just very unfriendly, impolite, cold, and straight up miserable demeanor.
The food was actually decent, aside from the fact that the fries were just scraps. The longest fry in the bag was maybe half an inch long. Overall, the manager/owner sure has their work cut out for them in terms of introducing the concept of customer service to the customer...
