Wanted to love this place but sadly I can’t. The first time was a great experience. I have celiac and so when I visit a restaurant for the first time I like to speak with the manager. She was very personable and food was good and safe. Next time, I ordered take out. Staff was totally different (which was fine, but surprising) and while waiting, a little girl who was eating vomited all over the place. Unsure why but seen that at a restaurant before. My appetite was a bit ruined so only ate a small amount, but the food didn’t taste great. The last time, went around brunch time. Same manager as the 2nd time. The brunch menu listed all items that could be made gluten free. My server didn’t understand my needs and didn’t seem to have patience so I wanted to order with a manager and double check that ALL the items listed gluten free could actually be made gluten free. He had no idea so had to go to the back and ask. Less than half could actually be made gluten free. that didn’t sit well with me so I stuck with my usual. Right before it came, I took a gluten digest supplement in case. Upon eating it, it didn’t taste like it did the other two times. Upon letting the manager know this, he tried opening the taco with his bare hands and sending it to the back. Then he brought it back and said it was fine. I got so sick after, and could barely function for a few days and had to miss work. I was told the owner has celiac, so I am truly saddened that the staff doesn’t treat the customers seriously. I never like to leave negative reviews but feel the need to inform others so that they won’t get sick like I did. It’s great when restaurants have gluten free options and advertise as such, but it’s more important to ensure that it is safely prepared. Cute atmosphere, but will...
Read moreFamily friendly, food is pretty good. Server very nice. BUT be aware: Dinner came before our drinks. Accidents happen, and a waitress spilled our drinks on the way to our tabl..The floor was a glass-filled puddle. After the mopping up, our chairs were sliding around as if on ice. It's a slick floor. Eventually a new round of drinks were sloppily placed at random, spilling and wet. Then, a piercing Fire alarm went off for 10 long minutes. No one paid attention. The waiter said it happens frequently! The alarm and flashing light went on for so long, we had to get outside, leaving our hot dinners behind. No one directed us where to head out through tables which were chained off. All this time, no manager, maitre d' or staff member said anything or apologize to make amends. Dulce de leche on the house? Nope. When the bill came, we saw the spilled drinks as well as the replacents were charged. The taxes were based on a double order.. We asked the waiter to recheck the charges, and he kept pushing a pen into our hand to sign. He said again and again, I'm just the server, I didn't make the bill. She did. Whoever she was. Although it was only 8:30, tables and chairs were being cleaned and moved all around us, yet our very messy table overflowing with food remained uncleared even as we deliberated over the math. When the waiter brought us a third bill showing only a total, not the line items, we asked for a new itemized bill. Again, pen shoved in front of us before we reviewed it, Fed up, we signed, but not before getting a copy. Obviously this place doesn't care about return patrons....

Overall the restaurant is nicely appointed and the service was very good. My water glass was never empty which I always appreciate and the food came out quick.
My wife and I each got 2 different flavored house margs. They were all good, the first round we got with salt rims but the salt was on very heavily which forced us to use the straw. Would recommend it be salted slightly less.
Octopus was a touch chewy, but the flavor with chimichurri and salad was good. Guacamole was fine, not necessarily worth $15. Love that they give (warm) chips and salsa which was good.
We did a taco platter with: Birria w/cheese - Best taco and food item by far. Baja fish - I had 1 bite and couldn’t finish (I eat everything normally and like fish tacos). The taste was off and the large piece of fish wasn’t good in my opinion. Carne asada - Also good, would recommend. Carnitas - really good taste, but light amount of carnitas.
Our friends said they had a really good lunch here and we didn’t have a bad experience. I think it’s worth trying and expect others to have a more enjoyable experience than I did. I wouldn’t choose to go back, but if friends asked to I would, especially for a drink and a couple...
