Read moreI think this ramen is tasty and has a lot of potential. To start with, the restaurant is lovely, with real branches all around. The food is served in beautiful wide bowls with cool ladle-like spoons. Everything is very instagramable if you are into that. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The ramen was very tasty although not quite perfect. I think there is a lot of potential for perfection once they have sorted out a few odds and ends. We got both the veggie and the bacon ramen. The veggie ramen was much more flavorful than most veggie soups and ramens. My partner thought it was the most flavorful and interesting vegetarian ramen they had ever had. They thought it was almost too rich and hard to finish. The addition of more strongly flavored contrasting toppings might help combat the richness. I had the bacon ramen. The broth was light, flavorful and complex. The very wide shallow bowl had a number of toppings including scallions, mushrooms and the bacon. Each of the toppings was very flavorful and spoonfuls of broth near each toping had a unique and different taste. I was very impressed by the cool effect and variety this added to a single dish. My major complaint was that the noodles were overcooked and too soft by the time we got the food. More firm noodles would really elevate the dish. We have only been once, so I can't say if this is representative. I didn't love the texture of the bacon, but that is probably a personal preference. Overall the portions were generous and we left feeling quite full. I think this restaurant has a lot...
Read moreVery open and new, fresh space for Ithaca. Worth trying out, however the food and service have potential but need to be worked on. I went for lunch and was disappointed they did not have a lunch menu. Prices are slightly more expensive- 15 dollars for curry and noodles but it is a different mixture of flavors.
First, my partner had the green curry with chicken... Unclear if the meat was actually chicken as it was so deeply fried with so much breading. Next, he asked for no mushrooms, very clearly, and the dish was piled with them. I happily ate them but he was very disappointed due to his dislike of them. The curry sauce was tasty, the noodles were fine but certainly not homemade. I got the bacon ramen- the broth was tasty and had a nice rich bacon flavor however the bacon itself in the dish was VERY undercooked and was all white and pieces of fat, completely inedible. The egg was undercooked, the...
