b.overly_delicious @campkingston Kingston, NY: I’ve been hearing about crazy cafe, deli, bar, pinball space that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner and thought what a strange concept. Bar by night but breakfast in the morning 🤔. Finally, I made it over to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t what I imagined, although I’m not sure what I expected. This place was slammed for a weekday afternoon. Walking in gave me instant nyc coffee house vibes. Well themed around summer camp and the outdoors. Owner Sam said his concept came from his college days in Ithaca. The back rooms sport a pinball gallery and the other a pool table. The front has a full bar with a grab and go beverage cooler and a full service coffee bar with Balthazar pastries behind the case. I got an iced latte, a pecan sticky bun, and an prosciutto and pesto sandwich. Latte was solid enough and the pastry crispy with caramelized sugar. The sandwich came out on a Bread Alone baguette which had a crusty shell ther gave way to an airy interior. The fillings were light but high quality and tasty. With a strong cured meat and cheese, you don’t need a lot. Prices are what you would expect in the new post-covid Kingston. I believe the coffee, sticky bun, and sandwich came to $28. Cool vibes and I like their merch/logo. I wouldn’t mind killing a few hrs here. They rent the space for events, so check their schedule online. #kingston #camp #campkingston #coffee #hveats #eater #hvfoodies #hudsonvalley #ulstercounty #balthazar #breadalone...

Relaxed and casual dog-friendly restaurant. Stopped by on our drive and came in hauling our infant and 3 pups. We set up in the back room with the pinball machines. The person who took our order was especially thoughtful. Even though this is a self-serve restaurant, she offered to drop the food off at our table for us since she saw we had the baby and dogs to manage! I know they were busy and she still made the effort to personally hand off our order.

We got the camp turkey hoagie, pesto prosciutto sando, sweetheart salad, a cold brew, a ginger molasses cookie, and a sweet corn cupcake with basil frosting and berry jam on top. All of it was delicious and made with care. Our favorites: the turkey hoagie, sweetheart salad (huge and fresh greens; not a single wilted or browned leaf) and cupcake.

We're definitely coming back next time we're...

I visited Camp Kingston recently, and overall, it was an okay experience. I had the everything bagel with the kitchen sink cream cheese, and it was just alright. My partner ordered the breakfast burrito, which was also pretty average. For the price, I expected a bit more flavor and quality from the food.

However, the highlight was definitely the cold brew! I tried the cold brew with maple syrup, and it was absolutely delicious, I would go back just for that. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere inside was really cute. That said, there wasn’t much seating directly in the café, which made it a little awkward when ordering and waiting for our food.

If you're looking for a cozy spot with great coffee, Camp Kingston is worth a visit, but I’d probably stick to the...

Camp is an amazing addition to Kingston! I’ve found myself visiting here multiple times day. First for coffee and a quick togo breakfast on my way to work (the location is PERFECT for quick access in/out of any neighborhood around Kingston) and back for happy hour one of the best bar menus around. Prices are fair, and the vibe is exceptional. You’ll always be greeted with a smile, and find lots of space to stretch out and work, be with friends, or to get lost in one of their pinball machines :) Truly cant say enough great things about this business and the local folks running the show!

Ordered a Turkey Hoagie and a large drip coffee. The coffee was solid and was served in a nice, thick coffee mug. Good flavor for a drip! The Turkey Hoagie was great, one of those classic elevated sandwiches you see in towns like this. Delicious Manchego cheese, dill / mint herbs, and a nice hot pepper spread to cut through all the fat. Super good and balanced nicely! Nothing better than a great sandwich. They also offer Gluten Free sandwich bread, which also tasted fantastic for GF. If I was GF or celiac, this would be an absolute staple.
