Attended both my first and my second show at Assembly this week (Kimbra on Thursday, Habibi on Saturday/today).
Loved everything about the space- yes, it feels like a school (because it was one), but that's not really a bad thing at all.
Honestly, at times it felt like I was back at a high school dance, only this time it was with a couple hundred adults instead of teenagers, the music was much better and so was the sound (loved the sound quality).
Aside from the music, the bar is reasonably priced and the bathrooms are easy to find and super clean.

Read moreI mostly use a wheelchair to get around and I was able to thoroughly enjoy the show here with no problem -- such a win for me! Everyone I dealt with was super nice and one of the owners even gave me his phone number so I could text him if I needed a hand with anything during the show. (Thanks, Drew!) There were a few sound blips -- the vocals for the show sounded a bit harsh at a few points -- but it wasn't a problem overall and I know they're still working out kinks.

The air-conditioning was not up for the task, it was an extremely hot n very humid day. I hope next time they have cider, especially to highlight our local producers please.
