Keegan is another required stop of a Hudson Valley brewery tour. Located in the awesome town of Kingston, the brewery itself has the feel of your cozy neighborhood pub. Beer is always on point. Mama's Milk is one of the absolute best pure milk stouts there is. Joe Mama's Milk takes it up yet another notch with the addition of a deliciously copious amount of coffee. If you're really feeling bold then kick it up another notch and go with their bourbon barrel offering. The bourbon notes create a nice balance with the beer. In case I haven't mentioned yet, great beer - as is the case with anything in life - is all about finding the right balance. The beertender was awesome. Definitely fantastic service. Great group of people hanging out at the brewery. Some decent food (I suggest nachos), too, if you're hungry.

Visiting from out of town and always like to check out the local brewery so we came here this afternoon. Nice place, a lot of nice outdoor seating and a ping pong table. Dog friendly. I had a flight and all the beers were great. The one thing that left a lot to be desired was the bartender. He wasn’t bad he just wasn’t good. When we walked up to the bar, new to the brewery, he just stared at us. No hi, no welcome, nothing. I had to ask how flights worked there and when I gave him my selections he just poured the beers and didn’t even tell me what was what on the flight. Anyway, none of this was a big deal, but for a brewery in a touristy town I’d expect a little more of a ā€œwelcome to our brewery here’s a little info about our beersā€ type thing. Anyway it was fine, just meh.

We had enjoyed their beer at a couple beer festivals so we looked forward to visiting when in Kingston. The outside has a cool artsy vibe that really doesn't carry over to the inside. We only enjoyed the Bine Climber Session IPA on our short visit but they offer a broad selection of styles to choose from. Our bartender was very friendly and offered many suggestions for sites to see while in the area. We did not eat but the wings looked tasty!

Not impressed. First off they didn't have a lot of menu items. Considering how few items were on the menu to begin with this was a huge surprise especially for a Saturday when they were advertising a band "event". We tried three appetizers over the course of the evening. Not only were they lame as far as how much came on the plate but the beans in the chili were hard, the tortillas were as greasy as it gets and the service was pretty disappointing since we had to clean up after ourselves. Then when I went to use the restroom there was no way to dry my hands! No air dryer and the towel dispenser was empty. The floors were wet throughout the inside of the venue. The band was outside. There was garbage all over the ground. But above all, the smell of the garbage wafting through the air was atrocious. I see a response to another review claiming this is from the spent grains in the dumpster waiting to be picked up. Honestly I've been to a large number of breweries where they seem to have figured out this problem and I have a real hard time believing there is any excuse to subject your patrons to such disgust. Not to mention my family runs a small brewing operation and I personally don't believe the smell could be from spent grains alone. More like the smell of rotting meat. And then!!! To top it all off.... The woman working there came outside to ... Get this ..... Tell the band they need to turn the music down because it was too loud!! 7 o'clock on a Saturday night with a small stage jam band and they were told to turn it down. Ridiculous. I suppose they stay open because of their beer, but I will never ever go there again or drink the beer or recommend this place to...

Long time listener, first time caller. Been here a handful of times, always enjoy, be it alone, w friends, or w family. Mothers Milk by itself worth the trip, the usual menu offerings all worth trying. Today, "phase 2" reopening, I stopped in for a growler refill after a day trip to Long Island, from Schenectady. After asking for the refill I see there is a bourbon aged mothers milk. Hot damn. Ask for a glass of the BAMM, it's the first beer I've ordered in public since March, and it simply wins. and I get to enjoy it outside among humans! Albeit at a safe distance. Both bartender and other young gentleman that refilled my growler both delightful. Look forward to another visit. Five visits later, Keegan Ales continues to be a refreshing stop between visiting points south and home. Yesterday, multiple customers had their well adjusted canine companions enjoying other customers attention. Ping pong under the big tent was being enjoyed by the younger generation. Such a welcoming spot, with...

I'm giving 3stars for one reason only. But first the good part. The beer selection is good w/ numerous flavors brewed in-house . Price was good also for a microbrewery. There was ample room for a large crowd inside w/dance floor. A Jazz band was playing last night(4-13-18)which was a refreshing change of pace. The crowd was modest for a Friday night. Now the complaint! And I believe it's significant! ! What the Hell! ! Only 2(two)freakin toilets 🚽! Holy mother of GOD ! REALLY! I was there 2 years ago while visiting from Las Vegas. It was a Friday or Saturday night. The place was mobbed! You COULD NOT get in a toilet to save your soul. I pissed in the parking lot too many times to remember. I really felt sorry for the women in attendance that evening. Completely unacceptable😠. Other than this issue, everything was cool.šŸ‘ PaydayGabe...
