Last Novenber, we went on a trip to Niagara Falls and stayed in a hotel in Lackawanna ... When we arrived in town kind of late, we drove around looking to pick up some food to bring back to the hotel, as we were on the road all day and really hadn't eaten ... We looked on a map and Abbott Rd. seemed to be the closest street with any sort of restaurants ... When we got there, we couldn't decide on a place and then I caught this place (Abbott's Texas Red Hots) out of the corner of my eye ... a quick search of Google and Yelp! revealed that this little place was suprisingly highly rated, considering the area ... So, hot dogs it is! ... We went in and the first impression is that the place hadn't been updated since the 1970s .... and I mean that in the BEST kind of way! ... Each one of us ordered 3 chili dogs, french fries and Cokes and when we got to the hotel, we we pleased at how good this food was ... Sometimes you can find the best places in the most out of the way areas ... sometimes - like in our case - it was just dumb luck! ... If I ever find myself back up in those parts, I would DEFINITELY eat here again ... as the food and the cool old school feel of the place would make...

Yes, I love their hots. They are as hard core Buffalo as it gets. On this visit I stopped in for Breakfast and it was fabulous. Coffee was great. Eggs and homefries fantastic. Service was wonderful. Food and price way better than another national chain breakfast/diner joint down the street. Read moreWe stop in Abbott Texas Hots on Fridays for their Fantastic Friday Fish Fry. The fish is freshly cooked and the portion is so big that it hangs slightly over the side of the plate.
