This place isn't so great with produce and baby food so it seems but that's just based on my experience the food here seems to look inadequate, be expired, or just not something that sounds tasty. I've come to this store several times for the sole purpose of saving money and find myself complaining about the food quality with the fact that I am always tip-toeing around bread dates, the salads are almost always expired, and recently 4 out of the 6 baby food containers I purchased were expired. My husband and I were very upset about this. Luckily I only opened 1 and it was good but I threw it all out after our refund from it. Our 5 month old child could've gotten sick from something that was dated back to 4-5 months ago. My mistake for trusting a grocery store so much I suppose. Something needs to happen here. It can't be just canned goods and junk food that's good and lasts here. Shelves should be dusted regularly, food stocked appropriately and accordingly, drinks shouldn't be spilled and sticky all over each other, and employees should be coming in, ready to work here. Every time I've stepped foot in this location there's only 2 to 3 people working and they all look miserable. There needs to be a bigger team, this location isn't that small. It's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreāI had a very disappointing experience at Save A Lot #21428 on 10/24/2024 at 10:28 AM with cashier Abijah C (per receipt). The customer ahead of me had their card declined, and when it was my turn, the cashier didnāt greet me or even look my way. I said hello, but she didnāt respond. When I mentioned there was no smile, she told me, āI donāt feel the need to smile.ā I reminded her itās a customer service job, and she replied that she was sick of the previous customer. I responded that he was already out of the store, and I was the current customer, but when I tried to lighten the mood by asking her to smile, she rolled her eyes.
This interaction made me feel extremely unwelcome. While the store is clean and organized, the customer service was poor, and that reflects negatively on the overall shopping experience. I wonāt be returning to this location and would recommend others spend their money where they are appreciated as customers. Customer service is key, and if the staff canāt offer that, they either need training or need to be in a different role. The energy from this cashier was dark and unwelcoming. There are other grocery stores nearby worth the extra drive, where staff are better trained and more willing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a hectic day and still needed to get our Easter dinner shopping done. As I was loading my van with groceries an employee, i presume in maintenance gathering carts, asked me if I had and issue in the store. A bit confused I said no, why would you ask that?? He replied, because I seen you at the ATM and than you went back to the cashier. I explained that I'm just tired and needed rolled coin but I forgot to get extra money from my debit card so I used the machine instead. He replied "oh, ok". As i was taking a much needed break sitting in my van, I noticed him watching an elderly lady and heard him offer her assistance loading her groceries in the car. I'm not sure if your company has any kind of acknowledgement towards your employees, if you dont, you should. And if you do, this man should get some kind of recognition. I could tell he was very genuine in his concern for me, and his offer of assistance to the other woman. I just thought someone...
