Borrelli's Taproom — Restaurant in City of Long Beach

Came here for the Vinny guadino comedy show. $100 for a ticket to be squished like a sardine for 2 hours. We were so uncomfortable- this set up was not thought out. Poor servers couldn’t even get through but they made it work. Skinnny margarita not drinkable. Margarita pizza was actually really good. Borellis salad was an absolute nightmare and to charge close to $20 for a drenched salad with what tasted like Ken’s or Wishbone is alarming. We took 1 bite each and immediately no. We didn’t touch the rest, the server cleared it without even asking. Riceballs and fries another 2 nightmares from the menu. Frozen riceballs, peas were still frozen inside. $100 later with a 20% auto grat for 2 ppl (lol I would have tipped more). As a LB local, borellis should really do better and offer better quality food and drinks for the prices...

Went here on Monday night with a friend at about 9:30/10:00pm. We were immediately heckled by the male bartenders upon walking in. We brushed it off. The bartender came over and told us to ditch our wedding rings and hang out all night. Again, we brushed it off. We ordered drinks. We were asked if we wanted to keep it open or close the tab. I said close it and was ignored, but I thought “maybe he didn’t hear me.” Then we were talking about how a late night ocean swim would be fun. The bartender said “let’s do it - but I’m a grower not a shower so don’t judge me.” Completely inappropriate and disgusting. I said “ok I’m going to need my card we’re not staying here.” He asked why I was being so mean. I said you are disgusting and disrespectful - give me my card so we can leave. He did...

Surprised to see there aren't any reviews on here. This place opened this past year. I've been walking by it every night and have always wanted to stop in. I'm pissed I didn't sooner. The Italian food here was so delicious. Had the Rigatoni with Vodka and Fried chicken. Pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce had perfect flavor and the chicken was cut thin and crispy.

Atmosphere was really awesome, they really made this look much more presentable than when Beach House was here. Nice floral stuff on the ceiling. Comfortable, cool pizza oven in the back.
