Crown Fried Chicken (Halal) — Restaurant in City of Middletown

The first time I ordered from here the food was really good. This time it's not as good and I went inside and had to experience their service which brought it down to a one. The last time I ordered chicken strips they were delicious homemade chicken strips that looked like the picture in the menu. Today I got these shriveled up tiny chicken fries that were obv frozen. I would never spend $7 on them had i known. They asked if I wanted tartar shrimp for my 21 baby fried shrimp. I said yes please.. They didn't give me any. They also got my whole order wrong after I repeated it three times. They gave me three orders of fries. I asked for honey mustard for the 15 chicken strips and the three orders of fries and my spicy chicken sandwich. They gave me one tiny prepackaged one.

The gyro had almost no meat on it. There were like five cubes? I've also never had a gyro that was cubed and not sliced off the giant rotating thing that makes it delicious.

When I went up to tell them my named for the order i called in, they had it right in front of them and instead of having me pay and giving it right to me they sat there and talked to each other for minutes while I just stared at them, taking their sweet time. And $45 for a gyro, fried shrimp, Frozen chicken fries and french fries is outrageous

Food preparation has gone down (2 stars from 4). I ordered today and it was mostly in edible. I got the 9 piece box which arrived as 4 wings (under cooked) 2 chicken legs (cooked ok) and 3 chicken breasts that were overcooked to the point of being dried out. Rolls were also hard as bricks. So disappointing!!

50% going to the trash. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

Left my original review, below. in case this was a one off day for them. If you buy, do pick up & check your order. Clean place with moderately friendly service & ample parking.

Food taste is consistently good. Atmosphere is clean. Not many places to sit & eat in.

For small orders, the service is quick. Large orders are cooked to order. They do a lot of business so food is fresh either way. Salads are plain, basically some iceberg lettuce & a few veggies.

Prices are reasonable.

Only 4 stars due to quality control: 1) Chicken wings, while meatier & less greasy that surrounding places, has occasional feathers. 2) Also ordered a 12 piece wings & got 11. Normally get 12 ( once or twice 13).

Still would recommend. Not sure if suitable for strict vegetarians since quality control...

I've been hearing about how great this place is so I figured I'd finally try them out. We ordered a family meal to take home which the sign in the store stated it included 3 mashed potatoes and a macaroni salad. When we were alerted our food was ready, we only got 2 mashed potatoes. My husband questioned it & the clerk stated that the sign was old. When we stated that was why we ordered what we did to get the 3 mash potatoes, he reluctantly gave us the 3rd order of potatoes. We get home and eat our food. The chicken was overcooked so it was really dry. Honestly I didn't think that it was that much better than other chicken places here in Middletown. If you are on that side of town & are craving fried chicken, I'm sure they are not a utterly horrible option.... maybe it was a fluke that I got a bad batch of chicken? But I wouldn't drive out of my way to order chicken there. Also, they claim to have breakfast there, but the menu in the store & the take away menu doesn't list a single breakfast item on it.
