El Fogon Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Mount Vernon

Visited a week or so ago found a home cooked breakfast, very good hot oatmeal drink large $5 in a cup. And tried their “3 golpes” without the meat. I had to sit down price was around $8 for the plate included mashed green young banana, a bit burnt fried cheese, fried hard eggs, with nicely pickled red onions. Overall good flavor. Ask for their home made green sauce which is mild and adds the touch to the meal. Red is very spicy.

Need improvement: table needed some cleaning and restroom missing hand soap & paper. Staff was pleasant but not much English. Very loud music playing...

To be honest the food in this place isn't bad, that's why i kept going back. But today was my last day (i just walked out) I'm NEVER going back, the service in this place is terrible. This is my 8th or 9th visit to this place and I've been over looked almost every time I went there for someone who's come after me, or I've been kept waiting with no acknowledgement of my presents while they had a full on convo.
