Nice portions. Best oxtails I've had in BX. I had to come back because like I told my wife, it's not often any Jamaican place makes oxtails consistently well over the course of YEARS. In the beginning the portions were amazing & food was on point. Our favorite server Diane seemed to go on vacay but told us not to stop coming like we planned to. In any event, we have been there 3 times since, one of which we asked for her & the younger girls up front were very rude & said she's on an extended leave. I wish I would've known. Two days ago, an older man was serving us. Still mostly fat on the oxtails & the peas made me sick. If you dont eat them right away they have a spoiled taste to them as if they sat too long. The very worst experience ever. I ordered the chicken stew with rice and peas, then after ordering the main dish as a side the menu program stated that I had to choose a second side, yet there’s no choices, just steamed vegetables with a selection box. I figured why not since cabbage is a vegetable, but nope I didn’t get it... I stated I’d like as a second selection Mac & Cheese but nope, I didn’t get that either. The chicken was hard to chew on as though it’s been under the heated light all day long, without anyone moving it around so the sauce can keep it moist. The vegetables were soggy and the only thing that was not too bad was the rice...then without even asking they took out a tip. Absolutely disgusting food! I ate from this restaurant about three years ago and the food was amazing when they had a different chef and they cooked with love. Now you walk in and they don’t even greet you, it’s all attitude as though you’re bothering them and then to top it off the Rosta pasta has so much oil and grease that as you’re eating it your stomach gets nauseous. I have never been so offended to spend $30 on a small plate of food only to get to workAnd be stuck with the Mayham they decided to call dinner. I do not recommend for anyone let alone someone who works all day and works hard for their money. This restaurant is an absolute waste of time and money but above all it was a waste of my traveling.
