So I normally go to Anthony’s Pizza up the block at 208 Gramatan but due the owners being on vacation the shop is temporarily closed so I decided to give this place a try. I must say this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a pizza shop ! first the staff was very rude and unwelcoming upon entering the shop I greeted all of the staff and said hello but I did not get a response. Then while I was putting Parmesan cheese on my pizza a guy working behind the counter wearing a Blue LA Dodgers fitted cap rudely screamed out at the top of his lungs hey you’re using to much cheese Stop put it down. Once he said this to me all of the customers in the shop looked at me and I felt extremely embarrassed. Being from New York City I’ve been to probably hundreds of different pizza shops and I’ve never once been told by someone working in the shop that I can’t put Parmesan cheese on my pizza. After I was told this I explained to the rude guy working behind the counter that the reason why I was using the cheese for so long is because although it looked like I was using a lot I wasn’t the container is just really beat up Therefore it’s coming out little by little. After I told him he didn’t even respond back. Aside from my horrible experience at this establishment if I had to rate the pizza on a scale of 1-10 I would give it no more then a 5. It Wasn’t the worst pizza I’ve ever had but definitely far from the best I’ve had $1 pizza in Manhattan that was better then this. The Pizza was extremely thin and barely had any cheese on it. If you live or are in the area and you decide that you would like pizza I would highly advise you not to go to this place. I recommend visiting Anthony’s Pizza at 208 Gramatan the customer service is great and the food is much better I promise you will not be...
Read moreHighly over priced food. I paid $25 for chicken tenders and fries and grilled chicken ceaser wrap. -13.50 without no fries More like pool food. The chicken tenders were more like thin breaded chicken cutlets. Not to mention. Customer service is not included. I called concerned about the breaded chicken cutlet. And and I told them I won’t be ordering for over priced food. The owner states to me. That’s fine and laughs. If I wasn’t far I would’ve popped up I would’ve threw this food back at him for the response. They drink in the pizza shop like it’s a bodega. -PS THIS IS NOT A FINE ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Not one Italian cook or staff member. They are Mexican American the pizza is greasy and the bottom is soggy. All I wanted was my money back and they can take the food back for all I care. There’s so many pizza shops in mount Vernon. Your better off ordering a good pie from domino’s. It’s the lack of customer service that grinds...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to come back and edit my review. I ordered a MEDIUM pizza for $19 on Friday Dec 2nd, at 330pm and it didn't come till 5pm, and I had to literally chase after my pizza, I kept being put on hold and then told he's 5 mins away, then when the delivery finally gets here at 5pm, he tries to OVER CHARGE me for $23!!! So I'm like well send it back I'm not paying for a large pie when it's a MEDIUM pizza!! Then I had to call AGAIN, and I got no apologies, or I'll make it up to you NOTHING! I would think after all that I went through they should've offered me a FREE pizza next time,. Which shows me what kind of business this has become after years and years being in business. The food is delicious, but their customer service has gone down the toilet . I will not be ordering again unless I'm really stuck and can't get anybody else. Very very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE The 2 stars are for...
