From the moment walking into the new An Artistic Taste location in Newburgh, we were greeted with warmth and an atmosphere that truly lives up to their name, every detail felt intentional, inviting, and creative. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside in the pleasantly shaded patio area. We started with the wings, which were perfectly seasoned with a crisp, flavorful exterior and juicy tenderness inside, the kind of bite that makes you pause and appreciate the moment. The oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, slow-braised to perfection, and packed with rich, savory flavor that lingered beautifully. Paired with sweet plantains, the balance of savory and caramelized sweetness was nothing short of addictive. The grilled chicken salad was fresh, vibrant, and generously topped with perfectly grilled, juicy chicken, a refreshing complement to the heartier dishes. The rice was fluffy, flavorful, and ideal for soaking up every last drop of oxtail gravy. Beyond the food, the service was warm and attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the presentation of each plate was truly artful, living up to the restaurant’s philosophy that “every plate is a masterpiece.” An Artistic Taste has created something special in Newburgh. Whether you’re here for the classics or just want to savor a meal that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to eat, this is the place. Left satisfied, impressed, and already planning the next visit. Do not leave without trying the Apple Pie with a little Vanilla Ice Cream! Legendary!

We were indecisive on where to eat last night. I decided to take a drive along Liberty Street in Newburgh, NY to see if anything new had opened. To my delight, when I got to the end of liberty, I looked across Broadway and saw that they had put in a new restaurant on the corner. This is #3 for this spot in the last 7 years. I think this one will last. It's listed as a Jamaican restaurant but it's unique and refreshing. It's not only Jamaican, it's so much more. I started off with a rum, prosceco aperol cocktail. It was beautifully mixed and presented. We ordered 3 items to share. Rib-eye tacos, the fried chicken sandwich, and the mac and cheese. I'm not a chicken person, this sandwich was piled high with toppings that complimented each other. The chicken melted in your mouth. The rib-eye tacos came with a beautiful spicy dipping sauce. The steak was cooked perfect. Now the mac and cheese. Gouda makes everything so much better and that perfect crust. My husband finished off with a hot apple pecan pie with gelato ice cream. I was too full and not a fan of hot fruit. I did try a few pecans and they were delicious. If you are local or you want to take a ride to the beautiful Hudson Valley. You can shop and drink along Liberty Street, walk down to Newburgh Mercantile on Broadway and finish at An Artistic Taste. It's a beautiful adventure only about 70 minutes from NYC..

A welcome new sight on Broadway and Liberty, this space takes the place of local favorite Mama Roux / Bar Brava, both excellent in their own respects. Needless to say, there were some big shoes to fill. Simply put, the food and service were excellent. We started off with the fried chicken bao bun which were phenomenal. The tacos were also tremendous with a ton of flavor. For dinner, I went with the jerk chicken. The portion was massive and again, the flavor was there. Personally, I like more heat which I was expecting as it was jerk chicken, but I can understand why they would tone down the heat. That's not even a complaint, more of an observation. The rice was superb- fluffy and flavorful. The braised cabbage was impressive, I normally am not a fan and I ate every single piece. Finally, get the plantains. Do not go here and skip on the plantains. The sweetness of the plantain and richness of the aioli & queso fresca balanced perfectly. This is an amazing addition to Newburgh's vibrant food scene and I hope it is here to stay for many years. Best of luck to the team who put this place together!

my 1st experience at An Artistic Taste was an amazing one. My family & I came off the recommendation from a friend. The ambiance is very welcoming. The staff was very accommodating & friendly w/my 1 y/o twins. Let’s get to it. Drinks: The water automatically came w/lemon (I usually have to request it) I ordered a lavender ginger lemonade which was more ginger than lavender but still good. My wife ordered the sorrel spice spritz & enjoyed it. My mother in law ordered the lychee martini & said it was the best she ever had. My brother in law had a strawberry basil lemonade & said it was delicious. I opted for a rum punch later & it was good (would be great w/an extra shot of rum).

Food: The AAT Wings Plate was the perfect level of spice. A must have for every future visit I make. The Octopus…OMG…perfection. My mother in law devoured her grilled snapper. The oxtail was so tender & flavorful The lobster Mac & Cheese was the best I’ve ever had & I’ve had a lot. They didn’t skimp on the lobster. It was seasoned so well. I was going to get the coconut curry chick peas until our waiter told us about the curry goat. I’ve been craving curry goat for quite some time & this satisfied my craving. Bread pudding dessert was simply amazing.

You won’t be disappointed w/anything on this menu. I will try different things on...
