We chose the wrong location for a party of 13. We were in the best of nature to taste good food. 1247pm. We placed the order. We had a very hungry child. We requested the child food to be brought out First. (Ask both young men) We waited, We waited and nothing. 47 mins later still waiting, No message of when the food any of the food would be ready. NOT EVEN THE CHILD
Slow pace slow pace The childs food came our at 135pm. From there everything just went wrong. We just wanted to cancel. No food was plated til we just got upset. We got hash browns. And pancakes. Then we got one omelette, one full order and Then the child food came out. Small Business I know and I support it As a business owner myself. I understand profits and loss We made it Very clear to pay for food although nothing was eatin IN PEACE and ALL IN PIECES. BUT GRATUITY for service not PROVIDED is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Half of my guests went to McDonald's to eat. So in summary of our Bill 303.45 from dine in to take out , to Terrible and disappointing experience. AND STILL Hungry guestS. GRATUITY should have been taken off. NEXT TIME JUST HAVE ADULTS SPEAK TO GUESTS TO SEE HOW THE TABLE IS GOING AFTER 45MINS OH YEAH, BETTY CAFE called the cops for GRATUITY FEE THAT I TRULY refused to pay. Because it is not HOW BUSINESS IS DONE. Custom Charge is manually entered and could ve been removed.
And by the way NOW reviewing our order in the car ..one western omelette w sausage was missing, Quick pick 4 was missing,, we left the pancakes cause nothing came with it. So 30 dollar was charged and never cooked nor plated nor...
Read moreWe went to Niagra Falls for a weekend getaway. We wanted to do the tour of the falls. We were looking for this type of food, because let's be realistic.. who doesn't love home cooking when away from home? I found this place on Google and by the pictures alone knew this was for breakfast the next day. We went on a Saturday morning..as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a young man saying "good morning" and he let us know we could sit wherever we liked. We picked a table in the back, and we were immediately greeted by a young lady asking about drinks.. the atmosphere was on point! They had r&b music playing just loud enough to remind you of the good ol days, but quiet enough to still have conversations while you waited. The food didn't take long at all, and the quality was like nothing we've had in a while.. 10 thumbs up to the cook!! The waitress checked on us multiple times to make sure we were good and satisfied, but we never felt rushed to leave. Very laid back environment. The serving sizes were huge and the prices were beyond decent. Eating here was probably the best part of our trip.. we STILL talk about it! I highly recommend stopping here, you will not be...
Read moreBetty's Cafe in Niagara Falls, NY, is a delightful soul food diner, where the timeless interior adds to its unique charm. As a recent transplant from the Deep South to Lewiston, finding a spot that serves authentic soul food was essential. Betty's Cafe hits the mark! The menu is a parade of classics: sumptuous chicken and waffles, perfectly seasoned cabbage, creamy mac & cheese, flavorful black-eyed peas and rice. However, what truly sets Betty's apart is their French toast and Edith's scrambled eggs, which are the best I've tasted outside of Paris (France) – buttery, moist, and utterly delicious. Their bacon is always cooked to perfection, and the fried bologna sandwich is a standout that should not be missed. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, embodying the spirit of community. Supporting local restaurants like Betty's not only offers a taste of home but also enriches the community. Highly recommend a visit for anyone craving soul-warming,...
