UPDATING THE REVIEW AFTER THE MANAGEMENT'S REPLY WHICH WAS COMPLETE BS AND OUTRAGEOUSLY FULL OF LIES:
Claims: Our staff did, in fact, offer water to your table more than once — including a refill — and we do not charge for water, as it is complimentary with all meals.
Reality: Your staff offered water when the water jar was empty and almost 10 minutes sitting there empty.
Claims: Our team also checked in with your table during the meal, and when asked how everything was, you personally responded that the food was good and everything was fine. At no point during the meal was any dissatisfaction expressed. In fact, your party of six finished all the dishes that were ordered.
Reality: It is hindu tradition not to bad mouth the food you eat but your cold treatment and outrageous gratuity made me write the review since the service was not only awful but also substandard.
Claims: Only after the entire meal was consumed did your group raise complaints and demand a full refund, claiming the food was not to your liking. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds once the meal has been fully eaten, especially when no concerns were brought up earlier — which would have allowed us a chance to address the issue or offer an alternative dish.
Reality: Neither me nor my group requested a refund, we paid the bill and walked out. STOP POSTING LIES AND START RESPECTING YOUR CUSTOMERS AND TAKE THEIR CRITICISM SERIOUSLY!
Claim: As for the 18% gratuity, this is clearly posted and is part of our restaurant policy for groups of five or more. This policy is common practice in many establishments and is in place to ensure fairness to our staff. We cannot selectively waive this for one table and not others.
Reality: Fair enough for the 18% gratuity but the service was substandard, that was my original complaint. But you abandoned that to pursue lies and fake responses to my review.
Claim: We value feedback and take all reviews seriously, but we also believe in being fair and transparent. Our team strives every day to provide a great dining experience, and it’s unfortunate when the situation is misrepresented.
Reality: The response shows you do not clearly value feedback and use CHATGPT to post your responses to look polite. Next time make your food better and serve your customers well that will keep you in business and not argument with your customers who provide you valuable feedback.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: To everyone who is trying to go to this restaurant, do not waste your money.
The food isn’t authentic, the service is cold and you have to literally ask for water when the entire restaurant is empty.
I ordered few dishes: Malai kofta was too sweet, Kadhai Chicken was not authentic as the gravy was ordinary with no flavors, Rotis is probably frozen, Chilli Chicken was absolutely bad in taste.
Only edible item I found was Jeera rice.
Save your money and go some where else. Either this is a tourist trap or genuinely they have a bad chef.
And despite cold service the restaurant had the audacity to charge 18% gratuity because we were 6 people. The server did not show up to even offer water all she did was bring food from the kitchen and I paid $18 for that service.
P. S : Do not go here and eat bad food...
Read moreNiagara Falls is a place full of great places to eat and as a local you have time to find the spots that speak to your preferences. One thing that is difficult is finding a spot for Indian cuisine, like pizza or a Tim Hortons Indian restaurants or food trucks dominate the culinary scene here.
Until I visited this establishment, I had never experienced Indian food from a restaurant. I have always made it home made minus the expertise behind being able to cook it well. I decided to Google all the spots in the area so I could finally check one out.
Rosie’s didn’t have the most reviews but they were solid. There are a couple spots that have more reviews and are really well known. I decided to go somewhere newer and not just go with what’s popular.
I do not regret my decision and in fact I will be going back again soon! I took a friend and as soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted by the family who owns and operates this restaurant. The first thing you notice is the clean environment and elegant finishes that give this place a fine dining atmosphere. A young man who was very excited to seat us asked where we wanted to sit and we chose a corner booth. While not actually a “worker” he did take care of us under the supervision of his older brother who is a server here.
This made this experience so worth it. The family makes this experience very personal. I was entertained that the little man was so good taking our order and even had the skills to upsell some options which I gladly said yes to so he could feel accomplished.
The older brother and parents did ensure that the order was accurate and that we were happy with our service. You can tell that the chef is properly trained. If it’s not through a culinary school the it’s through raw talent and this chef truly understands technique and flavor.
The two dishes we got were Chicken Malai Tikka and Chicken Vindaloo. We ordered them “Indian spicy” which is the hottest spice level they offer. The spice did not overpower the flavors and offered an amazing heat to both dishes. We also had saffron rice, garlic naan and mango lassi.
This place is a 10/10 for sure! I’m sure other spots are great and yes this is my first experience but it doesn’t take away from the fact that amazing is amazing and I’ll be going back for sure!
One thing they do that I will try some time is a dish for people going to Planet Fitness down the way. Butter chicken and rice on special. Great for a clean meal with good protein!
Thank you Rosie’s for the delicious meals and I will...
Read moreI had a wonderful time in this restaurant. I along with two of my friends went to Niagara falls and stayed in a hotel close to this restaurant. In fact after reaching Buffalo airport, we directly went to the hotel for dinner. We ordered steamed momos, Lamb Rogan josh(ofcourse with complementary rice) and samosas and all of them were so tasty and momos were so yummy. The lamb was so softly cooked. The next day we ordered for mixed chowmein , butter chicken , fried rice , chicken lababdar and kadhai chicken. All were mouth watering. We again had the same kind of choices for dinner as well. And we got the same taste. The best part of this restaurant is they prepare food after they receive the order so you always get fresh items. Whenever you go , you will get tea as complimentary. You can drink as many cups as you want(No restrictions :) ) . Now i come up to the staff and the manager. Sam is one of the staff in the restaurant and the best staff any restaurant manager can ever have. Very cordial and with his always smiling face come up to the table for taking order. He advises the signature dishes at that time and the one which will get quickly prepared. One of my friend is a tea lover and kept on requesting Sam to make the tea little hot and Sam again with his smiling face used to live up to the expectation. Now coming to the manager , Mr Subhash is also a very calm kind of a person. On one of the days we had to rush to Jet boat tour and we were constantly requesting them to get the food prepared quickly. Sam and Mr Subhash was so helpful, cooperative and supportive to get the food prepared and make it ready for take away. I have not received this kind of attitude from any restaurants that i visited till now(back home and here in US).
With visiting other restaurants in Buffalo, we still thought of coming to this restaurant and had our dinner exactly the day before we left from Buffalo with such a warmth and heartfelt sincerity and affection that we received from everyone.
And Mr Subhash along with his wife came up to us and we had a very nice conversation(in our national language Hindi which we miss speaking going to any Indian restaurants in US) .
I will highly recommend to all (irrespective of Indians or Non Indians) to visit this restaurant and get the authentic taste of...
