If you ever find yourself in Oneonta, make it a point to eat at Alfrescos located at 26 Main Street. The food and atmosphere were great and it’s beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. #alfrescos #oneonta #oneontany #italianfood #italianrestaurant #sunydelhi #mensbasketball #christmas #christmasinny

Walked in to Fox News on the lobby TV. Service was lacking. My wife and I both ordered the meat lasagna, it was served extremely hot to the point of burning my mouth, and there was Zero sauce in the lasagna. After waiting so long that my drink went dry, for the waitress to check on us, I finally just got up and went to the counter near the kitchen and asked for a refill of my drink, and for a small dish of marinara sauce to put on my tasteless lasagna. I was served one small dipping cup of marinara sauce, and I asked for a second for my wife, and at the end we were upcharged $6.50 for the two tiny cups of marinara. The interior decorations were nice, but was overly done to the point of being gaudy. The place appears to be a nice sit-down restaurant, and the prices support that, however the table next to ours was a folding plastic table from walmart, covered with a tablecloth, and all of the beverage cups are the textured plastic cups they use at every fast food pizza Hut. Mediocre service, less than mediocre food, vastly overpriced. If they worked as hard on the food and Service as they did on the decorations, they might be on the right track. I had high hopes, but I will not be back. My wife and I ordered meet lasagna and two beverages, and our tab came to $57.

What a gorgeous restaurant! Such a clever way to make it feel like you're dining al fresco inside. We just happened upon this place & decided to try it. Unfortunately, they were booked for their dining room (college open house time) so we opted to sit at the bar, which is VERY small. They offered a sofa & tv tray table or the coffee table, if we wanted to sit there to eat...definitely didn't like or think that was super classy. I can do that at home for free. Had an Awestruck Apple/Pear cider, which was crisp, light & refreshing. Good thing too as temperature in the bar felt like you were sitting on the sun! Our guess was the ovens are adjacent to the bar, hence the extreme heat. Tried their cheese ravioli & their Greek stuffed shells special (think spinach, kalamata olives, feta stuffed) & fresh garlic bread. We got THREE pieces of pasta for $16, which we thought was a tad pricey. Shells were very tasty & creative. Ravioli was just ok. Sadly, the rustic tomato sauce wasn't very flavorful. I know that in Italy the tomato is the star, but this was plain boring. The bread was excellent- very garlicky, which I like. Maureen our server & bartender was very sweet & really, really nice!

We went to Alfrescos tonight, Dec. 1st. We were a two top of adults and a four top of 14 year olds celebrating a birthday. We didn't set up a reservation but we were seated within 15 minutes. The place was bedecked in Christmas decorations but as there was no music playing it made everyone whisper. And when "Donnor" announced the specials it sounded like he was informing the whole restaurant. By the way, there was no one seated in the back, only the front, maybe 30 customers. And 3 or 4 servers. So not slammed at all. So "Donnor" takes our orders, the girls get pepsis and we order a blood orange margarita and an old fashioned. We get the drinks and order appetizers and dinners. We wait and the salads come out. Not a bad Ceaser salad but not great. We finish our salads and then "Donnor" tells us he forgot our appetizers and our dinners were ready, but he wouldn't charge us for them. Nice, as we never ate them. Two orders of wings and bruscheta. I don't know about the pizza, but our pasta and clam sauce was bland. No seasoning. Like they didn't even boil the pasta in salted water. Then I waited and finally got up to get salt and pepper and parmesan myself from the counter 5 feet away. "Donnor" was no where. Although he maybe had 4 tables. When he did show up, he didn't ask for more drinks, which we would have ordered, and the girls asked for ranch dressing. 5 minutes later I asked the kitchen for ranch and "Donnor" brought it out. Didn't ask if we needed anything, and disappeared. I asked another waitress if they could refill waters. Donnor showed up. Finally. We got our bill. $122.20. Pretty steep for two mediocre plates of pasta, 5 salads, a cheese pizza, and two drinks. We would have actually dropped another $30-50 on drinks and appetizers if they had served us those items. And we would have tipped 20%-30% if the service was good. As it was, we left no tip, told the owner how bad it was, and vowed to ourselves to never visit Alfrescos again until it's under new ownership. He didn't care. Didn't apologize. Acted as though he hears it everyday. The dude doesn't care. I urge everyone to stay far away from this place. Save your money and try...

Today is may 7th 2022, this was a terrible terrible experience I'm in shocked at the reviews that say they are good. I'm a college student and tried to go out with my family, and I'm lenient because I know what it's like to work in customer service but this was way beyond just a bad experience. Coming out there the table cloth was plastic and the table was so wobbly that water would spill out of our cup if anyone put their hands on the table. The waitress noticed it was wobbly and picked up the table cloth and started stomping on the table leg make it stop shaking. The prices there were insane and the food quality and portion sizes we're small. We ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and it was just 4 mozzarella sticks, for 7$ and they were frozen quality.we also ordered cheesy wings and it was very clear to us this is just bar food with melted cheese on it. Instead of maybe a cheesy sauce it was bar food wings with melted mozz cheese on it that would just slip off the wings because the wings were fried in oil, very unappetizing. The water came warm without ice. My partner accidentally ate a bug they mistook for food on the table, the whole restaurant was boiling hot. by partners foot felt something moving under the table and pulled up an entire floor tile. Our salads were served in a plastic bowl. The anchovies tasted like they were expired, and the food was really subpar. Red sauce was sour and the food was meh and tiny portions. The check was over 150$ for 4 orders of pasta mozz sticks and cheese wings. don't go here save your money and go to bell Michaels. Its nothing special but I mean if you really need to get Italian in Oneonta I would go there :/ but there's much better...

I was very disappointed such a nice place but unfortunately the servers were rude, I went for my birthday and they didn't bother to tell us a party of 8 that they close in 1/2 hour. So they served us our appetizers and shut down the music- the staff starting vacuuming while we are trying to have a conversation! They shook the mats and the dust was flying everywhere! We were appalled! The waitress were bickering in the back fighting one shouted Well I don't want to be here so hurry up and get the stuff off the tables- so she walks over and asks us if we are going to need the shakers condiments! Well yes! So she had an attitude all of them did! To top it all off they serve us our dinner and with an attitude again she asks will you be having coffee ? Well let us at least eat our dinner!!!!! So we didn't have dessert that was the point to have a good dessert for my birthday!!! They ruined my day my family's night out we spent a lot of money for the most rude treatment, these owners should not get upset at the people like us rating your place! they should address the problems with their staff! I told my friends when they asked me how my birthday was I told them and 2 friends said they had the same experience!!!!! We did express it to the owner - He said they always fight! He apologized- Obviously you don't correct the problems you take people's money and next! Terrible service terrible service attitude city!!!! What a shame! Lost another group of customers ! Because of your Incompetent rude staff! Who hates their jobs...
