Lollipops Tattoo and Piercings — Local services in City of Oneonta

I want to put this is the nicest way possible because I enjoyed Lollipops when I went in 2016 for my nose piercing, I had no problems and the person who did it made me feel comfortable and confident and explained things very well and was very honest about the potential risks and infections. (I don't remember the name of the gentleman that did my piercing but I know it was a guy that did it) My nose ring has had no problems at all. I went back in 2019 cause my aunt wanted to get me a birthday piercing, which was my naval. This experience was a little less pleasant, and it was a different person who did it. They were very kind and pleasant to be around at first but as soon as he saw my belly button things changed because he said I didn't have the right anatomy for my naval ring and that my naval piercing would look a little weird due to the shape of my naval, which I told him that it was okay because I really wanted it. I was laid down and my fiance was holding my hand, the piercing portion was really not that bad, I stood up and looked ay my piercing and I liked it, the only problem being was that my piercing sunk into my naval so you couldn't see the bottom of it, just the top. I was then told if I lose a little weight, it would look better... My fiance, and aunt both heard this and there mouths dropped, when he said that, it crushed my self esteem a little bit as I know I have a weight problem (which I can't control). My piercing ended up getting very infected despite my every effort to keep it (which wasn't Lollipops fault) so I had to take it out, I only had it for about a year. The reason I'm writing this review now is because I really liked Lollipops when I got my nose ring done as previously stated, and didn't want to hurt them in any way. But I went to a different piercing place a few days ago because my friend was getting her nose pierced there and they took a look at my naval scar where the piercing was and she said that it was pierced a little too shallow and that I used the wrong cleaning method (which was my fault) and that there was nothing wrong with my anatomy, which I was relieved to hear so now I'm going to try to get my naval pierced again and see how it goes this time. (I'm giving them 3 stars because I do really still like the shop, they're clean, they use brand new needles, they give you good advice and are very honest and most of the people who work here are amazing, just my experience in 2019 dropped the...

As a Police Officer and Daughter of a Captain,I am Always suspect. .But we ALL ARE.,I walked into Lollipops 4 Times before i Decided who would Tattoo my Step Daughter.The Owner,or the One who said he was The Owner on 4 Occasions.,"Mr.Tombstone",was a Bully and Basically Told Us that what my Stepdaughter wanted couldn't be done,and if so,it would be Very Very Expensive.Which we would of Paid for ,no Problem. I've had 5 Family Friends get Tattooed there by a Woman named "Pinky",and they Can't say enough on to How great their Experience was.I wanted my Step Daughter to get Hers done by Pinky.4 of the 4 Times we were Told by Mr.Tombstone,That she didn't even Work there Anymore,twice by Phone ,Twice in Person, Luckily,my Sister in Law Luckily had Pinky's Cell #.So we Finally got a Hold of her and She Does STILL Work There!!- Later we came to Find that the True Owner is a Gentleman named Greg,and is a Great Friend of Pinky's- It was Truly The Best Tattoo Experience I've ever Seen in any Tattoo Artist/Shop in Town or on TV .She Stayed Late and made her Tattoo Perfect,and she was a True Professional in Every Sense of the Word-.If You are going to get Tattooed in Oneonta,Mrs. Pinky Ring,or that's what she calls herself,is the Only Person in ALL ONEONTA i would recommend.She gave us not Only the Best of Tattoo Experiences,but She Told Us the Entire History of my Step Daughters Tattoo Design,and as she spoke,i looked it all up.and it was ALL TRUE!!!,Pinky is a Tattoo Doctor Basically,AGAIN A TRUE TATTOO ARTIST- Search no Further,and have Pinky do Your Tattoo-You Simply won't regret a thing,and Learn the Entire History of Your Design,and make a True Personal Connection to the Artist.! Have you ever had an itching for a new piercing out of the blue? I can't be alone when I say this. That was the case for me while finding something to eat in downtown Oneonta. I took to Google, found someone with beautiful work, lovely reviews, and an atmosphere that felt right. I walked in, having no idea what I even wanted. The gal working took the time to check out my ears and figure out how to even out piercings for me and what I could totally rock. (I'll be making a few more trips to finish my ears up, trust me.)
