Touch of Class missed on a few critical points that knocked off the 3 stars from this review. The first star was lost with the service. To begin, we were offered sparkling or flat water. We chose sparkling. Our waiter brought out 2 cans of berry flavored seltzer, which we did not want. She then brought regular seltzer, but again brought the cans. Just weird. It must have been her first day ever waitressing. The next miss was the ambiance/music. Although at first glance it seems nice inside, they are trying to be classy, but just missed the mark. If you're going to be classy, go all the way, don't half-ass it. We were seated and had our napkins placed on our laps for us, but then the service went downhill from there. They had a fancy cutlery setting for 3 plus courses for no reason. Bring out the appropriate cutlery if I order a soup etc. Next was the music. OMG, the music. For a Caribbean restaurant, they sure do love country music. I don't mind a good country song in the mix every now and then, but they played nothing (and I mean nothing) but country music the entire time we were there. It was ridiculous. I didn't understand or enjoy what was coming out of those blown out speakers at all. They also could do a better job at their decor. I didn't feel like I was in a Caribbean restaurant. The music didn't help, but it's an easy thing to hang a local artist's Caribbean themed artwork on the walls or something. Star lost. The final star was lost at the $12 drinks (and over-priced menu overall). I'll pay $12 for a drink if it's amazing, but the drinks we ordered were not only Basic, but they took forever to be served to us even though we were the ONLY 2 people in the restaurant at the time. Moving on to the good news, the food was delicious. Jerk spring rolls were on point and their jerk chicken and jerk salmon was delicious due to a tasty jerk sauce. The rice and peas needed the gravy sauced over top because it was a bit dry and that's how Jamaicans typically like their rice and peas. Overall, the food was delicious. Touch of Class is not classy in my honest opinion and definitely needs to work on a few things to step their game up. I hope they take well to this review and improve on their...

Beers - I LOVE my beer cold. The bottle was served super cold. I was then offered an iced mug. It was so cold, that after I tried it I drank the rest from the bottle.- 5 Stars! *
Plantain + Dip - Sweet & hot, perfectly crisp plantain - 5 Stars! *
Dinner - Yes, there's a wait, but what are you waiting for... The food came piping hot, both of our meals. (How often does that not happen?!) The penne with jerk chicken must of had a half pound of pasta. (There was smoke coming out of that pasta dish 15 minutes later!) Perfectly cooked, a la dente, as good or better than any pasta dish in any Italian restaurant (and I am Italian.) My 1/4 jerk chicken came with a delicious broccoli side and the best mac & cheese ever! If nothing else, go for the mac & cheese. 6 Stars! **
--- I can go on and on, however, right from those beers, you knew they would execute to perfection on everything they did. --- Prices - A little pricey BUT - there's pricey & you get a little or you pay $16 for a hamburger. Here the portions were huge. So you can bring home 1/2 for lunch the next day. Value analysis - 5 Stars! *
The only problem is the dinners are uniquely super delicious so we wound up stuffing down the whole meal....
Read moreAbout two weeks ago, I took my niece here for her birthday dinner. We drove drove down from Middletown, and got there about 8:35 P.M. I didn't close until 10 P.M. but we were told they were closed. There was another table in there, and I asked was there private party going on. I was told; "No." Once I told them they need to update their time online, because that's false advertisement, the lady said we can come in. It is a small space with not many tables inside. The service wasn't great, and the food was okay. First time eating a Jerk spring roll, but I wouldn't suggest that. The soda was flat, but the drink was okay. The Mac Cheese was good, but they burnt it on top. The only thing I would suggest is the Steamed Snapper. Probably ten days had passed, and I drove back down there to eat at the restaurant directly right next door. It was about 6:40 P.M. on a Wednesday, and it was closed when online it said it closed at 10 P.M. They really need to change their hours. Bad business, and false...
